Help!

My face primer has separated. When I pump it, it comes out as a liquid, not creamy like it was originally. I've only had it for about a month. This happens to my eye shadow primer sometimes, too, and I can never figure out why. It's as though the oils dissolve and make everything watery. Is there a way to prevent this? I can still use the primer, but it's super annoying and drippy.

(I know--there are far worse things that can go wrong in my day, but at the moment, I'm lucky enough where oily face primer is problematic. laugh out loud)
which primer is this? have you tried shaking it fervently to get it to go back? this happens to me too.

Pur Minerals [purminerals.com]. Maybe I haven't shaken it enough? It's still usable as a liquid; it's just aggravating. Especially because I don't know why it happens--I live in New England, so it's not as though it could melt. Confused

Is it possible to alter swim bottoms? I got the leopard print tankini set in. My DH really likes it, but the bottoms are too big. There isn't a small available on the site. Could I alter to mediums to work? They're not fall-off too big, when they're dry. I wouldn't want to risk wearing them in the ocean or pool though. EEK! Other VS bottoms fit in M. I wish their sizes were more uniform.

I was going to say to try shaking it really hard too. Do you store it in a warm area? If so, I'd make sure to keep it in a cooler area to prevent separation. I hope you can fix it, & not have to buy more.

ETA: I see you addressed the temp issue, while I was posting. Unfortunately, I don't know anything else that could be causing it.

have you checked MJR? i bought a tankini once and couldn't find either the matching bottoms, or the tankini top. i bought 1 on vs and found the other on MJR. definitely check!

on the other hand, i've always had trouble with altering stretchy things myself, but i'm sure a skilled person would know how to do it. definitely don't wear it - i have a pair of bottoms that i use only for sunbathing bc they're a M and too large (i couldn't find a S anywhere in the state! it was annoying). i ended up matching the top to a different pair of bottoms for when i go in water.

that's the other thing - can you match to a solid color? if it's leopard print, i imagine it'd look good with a pair of black bottoms also. i like mix and match.

I can hand stitch pretty well. I can't use a machine or anything. It doesn't seem that hard, but I don't want to ruin the fabric. Do you think it would be fine?

I'd try it. I know people that sew those the strings ties things so they will not come undone.

I would think it would be fine. Try to use a needle with a very small opening on top so as to not make big hole.

I hadn't even thought to check MJR. Thanks for the reminder. bounce

The stretchy fabric is what concerns me. I'm afraid of weakening it & causing it to tear. It shouldn't be hard to take up, if it won't destroy the fabric.

I like matching solids with prints too. I already ordered a solid top w/print bottoms, & a print top w/ solid bottoms. My DH likes the all leopard look, but I may have to go with a solid color anyway. He also liked the matching bottoms with the other print top, but he got vetoed. Coverlaugh I decided to keep the solid bottoms instead.

I'm off to check MJR. Wish me luck.

You girls talked me into it. Teehee I got them for $15.99, so I wouldn't be losing that much, if I mess them up. MJR didn't have the ones I got in M. I'll keep checking. In the meantime, I'll try altering the ones I have. Thanks for all the advice.
