Mommies, I need advice:

I'm thinking of buying a baby food maker that steams and purees. Is this stuff worth it? I'm looking at one that's about $65 at Amazon, and it's reasonably-priced at that point, they can go up to $100+.

With my first child, I bought the ready-made baby food. In theory, homemade is better. But is the investment for the baby food maker worth it? Plus the accessories (storage dishes)? Also to those who have gone homemade, isn't it a lot of inconvenience in terms of shopping, preparing them in batches, freezing, thawing etc?
I got the bullet, it makes baby food and you can use it for other things, I got it at costco for @$65. I have some store bought food on hand for when we go out. I like to make the food. It can be time consuming, but I use ice cube trays to freeze the puree baby food, usuually I put out the baby food the night before in the fridge in plastic tuperware for breakfast, lunch and dinner, I also have the natural applesause on hand. We eat a lot of bananas, pears, sweet potato and squash. Pumpkin the can is great too! ds likes pumpkin and banana. HTH

SP1229077 (20% off bra tops/dresses and pants), is combining with the spring12 tier and trendy.

The 20% code works on some of the 2 for items so they come out really cheap if you're buying enough to use the tier too.

Where else do you girls order clothes from online? I couldn't find close to $125 I liked at The Limited for FS. I checked Express & saw a couple things I liked, but not many. I get so frustrated. Head Bang Obviously, I don't like trendy clothes, because I have a hard time finding anything I like. There's a few things I want at VS, but I need a whole new wardrobe. Where else should I look? I used to buy most of my clothes at Dillards & Bealls, but that was before I started doing all my shopping online. I rarely feel up to going to the mall to try on clothes. I don't know how to get deals on clothes at the major dept. stores online, & hate paying full price + shipping, so I haven't shopped at Dillards in a long time. I'm going to check Bealls now, because I can usually find a deal, if I'm patient. Any other suggestions? Please
Dillards can have a great sale section, I like ann taylor and banana republic, BR can have good sales. ON is a fav. of mine, not expensive and I always shop there with a coupon, but its more casual clothes.

I give my kids home made food...but I don't go out of my way to make the baby food. Like I pick stuff out of our adult food and just give the baby that Smilie Spices and all. hehe I have three so far...and that's been my process. Or sometimes I'll pull things out before it's been spiced and everything (chicken, etc) and just mash that up with a fork (or my hands) and feed that to the baby. I don't think you necessarily have to puree food in a blender, just mash it up in a bowl so it's easier for them. In my experience, my kids like the texture more than pureed stuff. HTH....but to each mommy their own. you may prefer the blender, but this was just easier for me and my kids liked it better that way too Smilie

It's random. I found one that was full price that it wouldn't work on laugh out loud. It works on some of the 2 for $40/$50 styles though. You just have to play with it.

Does anyone have this bra top maxi dress [victoriassecret.com]? How does it fit?

I can't decide, do you prefer teal or grape?

Thanks for your help!

My sister has actually been sick, so we didn't do anything on my bday...we're planning to go to Max Brenners sometime next week when she's feeling better Smilie I don't mind though, this is the first time in 4 years that I'm spending my bday with my sister since she's been out of the state/country for school. I tend to order from Limited, Express, BR, Ann Taylor (I love AT!). Sometimes I find good deals at Macys. My mom loves Parisian (which is part of the BonTon family of stores); she usually gets some really nice clothes and outerwear there. I think it's easier to get good deals at Macys and Parisian if you go to the store though, rather than online. She also used to really like JCP and got some amazing deals there, but she said that the last time she went, she was really disappointed with their new pricing strategy and that the selection of stuff available at our store seemed to have decreased.

edit: oh, and Kohls! I can usually find things on sale, and then combine with 30% off + Kohls cash. You need their card though for those coupons/savings.

What's your style? I've never bought much from dillards and have never been in a bealls.

Try AT, Loft, J Crew, BR.
I'm not sure I have a style. laugh out loud Let's see. Scratchchin I like classic clothing with a nod toward femininity. Basically, I like clothes that are always in style, but aren't usually trendy. I like mostly cotton fabrics, unless it's a very expensive silk. Since I can't usually afford expensive silk clothing, I mostly wear cotton fabrics. Stick Out Tongue I don't usually like polyester or satin. Tops that are more fitted look better on me, so I don't like loose fitting or longer tops. Think most of Ralph Lauren for style (not for price at most of his full prices. EEK!) I don't like tops that have pockets or visible logos. One of my favorite brands used to be Liz Claiborne, especially Liz Claiborne Sport. Unfortunately, they cheapened the brand & started selling it at JCP. I'm all for getting stuff cheap, but the quality & style aren't the same now. I used to be able to get excellent quality LC that would last forever on sale in the dept stores in the mall. Sadwalk

Bealls has more in store I like than online. I can always find something in the stores I like, & I like a few things online. It is a FL store though, so much of the store is for people older than me to fit the FL demographic. Most of the state residents are a lot older than me. laugh out loud I definitely don't want old lady looking clothes.

I'm going to try all the suggested sites today. Thanks for the help.

Wow, I'm impressed by your organization. When my DS was young, I could barely get to the grocery store to buy his food. laugh out loud

Thanks bounce I wish this worked on shorts & regular tops. I'm desperate for them. I literally don't have one pair of shorts that fit & it's already in the mid-80s here. Embarrassment

I agree about Dillards. I used to get some incredible deals on good quality clothes there. I'll check the other places you suggested. Thanks for the help.

I'm sorry your sis isn't feeling well, so you guys couldn't go out & celebrate. Hopefully, she'll feel better soon & you can party.

Thanks for the Kohls suggestion. Unfortunately, I don't have their card. It seems like the times I've checked their site the prices are usually pretty good, when they have a code for the GP. It's easy to return there, so I'll definitely check the site.

Thanks, GH! She's feeling a little better today...she had the flu and I think she was kinda dehydrated, not eating or sleeping well either. She's a third year med student and she had exams the week she started feeling sick, so until I showed up and started bullying her into taking care of herself, she wasn't shake head laugh out loud

I don't know if you're open to getting a new cc, but if so, the Kohls card is definitely one I'd recommend. I'm a joint user on my mom's cc right now, but I definitely plan on getting one of my own in the future - I think it's got some of the best benefits of the store CCs that I've seen. If you spend a certain amount (I think it's like $600) in a year, you get additional savings opportunities (20% off, pick your day, etc). They also send birthday coupons Smilie
