One of my friends was trying to sign up and it keeps saying it isn't open for our zip code...I signed up when I lived somewhere else, so we'll see I guess.

Oh. So the other day I bought the Beauty Exposed Smashbox kit. Wellllll, when my MIL was here yesterday I heard a crash when she was in the bathroom, not surprising as it is kind of hard to find the toilet through all of my stuff haha...turns out she knocked my palette on the floor Mad The softlights broke, but there is still a good bit of it in the pan. I'm irritated for two reasons - 1 - it was OBVIOUS by the powder all over that it was broken and she didn't say anything to me, and 2 - I bought that for my travel makeup bag for work. Now if I try to take it anywhere, the powder will be all over.

Grrrrrr.
Glad you had a nice time with your DH! Sorry to hear about your MIL breaking things and not even acknowledging or apologizing for it. You can probably reset the powder by mixing what's left or what's moving around with some isopropyl alcohol and press everything back with the back of a makeup brush or something.

Sorry Blush Don't get too excited though. I had clothes & stuff to try on too. I wasn't doing any pole dancing/ stripping type fashion show. It was more of an act silly with spontaneous dancing kind of fashion show. laugh out loud

Thanks Smilie We had fun with it. My DH put some music on the surround sound & we acted silly. It had been a very long time since we've done anything like that. Everybody needs to be a little silly & laugh together sometimes.

That's a bummer about your makeup. Frown

Our night out was great. We went to a nice Japanese restaurant we both love and had a fabulous dinner of sushi and some Kirin, then we got a coffee and went down to the pier that stretches out over lake Ponchartrain and went walking for a little while. It was super nice. Then we came and I was so exhausted I kept falling asleep mid sentence while I was laying on the couch talking to DH. Poor guy! laugh out loud The next morning I made some omelettes and bacon and we just hung out and were lazy for the morning. It was really enjoyable!!

We started the monster on a little bit of rice cereal in her bottle at night last night. She ate at 10 PM, fell asleep at one and didn't wake up until 6:30! If only I can get her to fall asleep right after she eats that bottle, we'll be in business!! : whee:
It sounds like you guys had some great alone time. That's important for any couple.

I've been to the convention center that's on Lake Ponchartrain in Kenner many times. I know it's a huge lake, but how close do you to live to the NOLA area?

Good for her. She'll be sleeping through the night in no time. nod

So sorry this happened to you! Frown like azn said, you could try to repress the broken powder. A little running alcohol will do the trick.

I was so stressed out with my dad around that I spilled tea on my laptop. Frown then i got pissed at everything and yelled at dad then called dbf and yelled at him. I hate when i do stuff like this, argh! I can't handle my parents. They are too much stress. Just dropped him off at the airport. Now i have to go to work. Frown

Oh i ended up finding a nice suit at Macys. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions! I brought fmil and she suggested Macys and it was a great suggestion bc we went to a macys mens store that had a great selection.

Got my nords beauty order. The el gift is really nice! Now i have shadows to go with the blush palette Coverlaugh

The higher % of alcohol the better. I think i used 91% rubbing alcohol to repress some shadows. Lower ones will work - they just take longer to dry.

I'm excited for her to start sleeping through the night. I would love to get more than 5 hours of sleep!

Sad thing is, when I do get the chance to get more, I still wake after 5 laugh out loud

We did have a really nice time, it was needed, but I was stalking the door waiting for her to come home the next day!

You ladies always have the answers hug I guess it being broken didn't bother me that much, it's that she didn't say anything and there was obviously powder on the outside. You knew it had broken if you looked at it.

Me and hubby act like idiots all the time Wink It's good for you! Glad you got to have some fun with him Wink

The makeup didn't bother me so much as her not telling me. It's not a huge deal, just irritating.

Kenner is about 45 minutes from where I live. I work in Mandeville, about 1 mile off the end of the Causeway that spans the lake. I am smack in the middle of Baton Rouge and NOLA...about 1 hour from each Smilie

Awww - thanks for the advice, I know I have some alcohol here! I'd rather have a broken eyeshadow than a broken laptop - so sorry you are having such a bad day Frown I hope your laptop is OK - too bacd you can't put it in a bag of rice like you can a phone or iPod. Hope everything recovers!!

Now, I just got done detailing my car! Whee It's too old for me to justify someone cleaning it for me. It's an 07 which isn't that old, but I dunno. I figure if I do it myself I can justify spending that money somewhere else. Yay for being productive!

Goodness! Sorry about the whole laptop thing. That sucks!! hug PLUS, I'm sure the Night Market fiasco didn't help either with all the stress around! Hope your computer works! It's a nice day, hopefully you'll get to enjoy some out in the sun and help clear your head Smilie nod

I'm glad you at least found a nice suit to get that taken care of. Everything you can take care of now, will prevent a lot of stress when your wedding date nears.

My DH & I act silly a lot. My nephew's wife said we remind her of my nieces twins. laugh out loud If he doesn't do something I want him to, I tell him he isn't my friend anymore. He always ends up doing it, so I'll be his friend again. Of course, we're just kidding, but it's our little game we play. Teehee

I love NOLA. If I lived that close, I'd visit for weekend getaways every chance I got.

Good for you cleaning your car. I'm wait too cheap to pay someone to clean ours too. Embarrassment

Anyone ever taken a Holland America cruise? My DH & I decided today that we want to change our anniversary plans & take a HA, Panama Canal cruise instead of the other cruise we have booked. We've never sailed on HA. I'm hoping some of you have, so you can tell me what you think of the line.

Me and my hubby act like we are about 10 years old sometimes laugh out loud We always say we would REALLY have no friends if they put a camera in our house and let people see how we act on our own time.

As far as NOLA goes - I honestly haven't spent much time there since I moved here. The first trip down Bourbon were more than enough for me. I think. Well, from what I remember I shouldn't do it again. Me and hubby have spent some time with some friends who live in NOLA and that is the best way to do it. They know the best restaurants, hangouts, and live music. Plus, it's a free place to stay for Jazz fest and Mardi Gras if we ever get around to going!! I need to make more of an effort to get down there. Maybe the next time the in-laws keep the kiddo me and hubby can take a weekend escape Smilie

I'm so glad you loved it. bounce I've been to Alaska twice. It's an amazing cruise. We've never done a cruise tour, but I've heard great things about them.

For HAL, which ship did you take? This cruise is on Zuiderdam, which I know nothing about. What was the demographic like? Were people dressed fairly nice? We like to dress up for dinner & really dress up for formal nights. I love to see my DH in a tux. Also, how was the food in the main dining room? Did you eat in a specialty restaurant? If so, how was it? Sorry I have so many questions. Blush This is the first time we've considered a HAL cruise, so I haven't researched the line at all.

Ooooooohhhh...Alaska...:girly :
When I was younger, I really wanted to go to Mardi Gras. I don't think I'd want to now. I'd rather visit, when it's a little more calm. laugh out loud Jazz Fest sounds really nice though. We love the French Qtr., but avoid Bourbon street too. It's just not our thing. NOLA is such an interesting, complex city. As with all cities, there's good & bad. It provided our first experience with homeless people. That was sad to see for the first time. I have to say they were the most polite homeless people we've encountered. No one bothered us. The same can't be said for some of the other cities we've visited. shake head I enjoy the historical aspects of the city a lot. It has something for everyone. The food is a big draw too. Your inlaws could come in very handy. A NOLA getaway would be great for the two of you. nod

Japan would be incredible! Unfortunately, we're going to have to get our DS through college, before we can take trips like that. It's definitely on my list of places to visit in the future though.

We love cruising, but we're very laid back people. We'd be perfectly happy just riding around in the ocean for a week or two & not stopping anywhere. As long as we have a nice room, great food, & can see the ocean we're good. laugh out loud I've never sailed on Carnival, but I wouldn't turn down any cruise. If the right situation came along, I'd go in a heartbeat.

I wish you luck tomorrow. Hopefully, the day will fly by. Your baby girl will be fine. hug
