This stuff. Love it. It has a high spf, and I can put it on without breaking out. Even after peels. It's what they put on my at the dr after my peels. I loved it so I bought it.

I have some skinmedica sunscreen. It came in a kit I bought on peel day. I haven't tried it yet. It's just a 30. They told me to put a sunscreen on my scars. How high should it be? I forgot to ask Doh.

i don't know, i've always heard that 30 is sufficient for most sunscreen purposes. but the 50 one sounds great too! laugh out loud

I'm trying to be better about sunscreen lol...I've been using a moisturizer with SPF30 (Image Skincare's Daily Defense Hydrating Moisturizer) for my face, and CVS Sheer Lotion Sunscreen SPF70 for my arms. I'm worse about doing it for the body, but using a moisturizer/sunscreen combo for the face helps since it's just one step that I'd have to do anyways.

Yeah, I get that you want to look your best for your wedding day...but if your body is going into ketosis, that's essentially "starvation mode." And it's really bad for your body, not just your kidneys. The article mentions it's done under a doctor's care/supervision, which makes it all the more disturbing to me...as a healthcare professional, he should know better! Mad

true, easier when it's built in, definitely. i actually don't moisturize in the morning tho, bc i only splash my face with water (i don't wash my face in the morning so as not to dry it out). i put on eye cream and sometimes i'll remember a sunscreen serum but usually i just go straight to TM/foundation/bb cream/etc. i also generally have about 10-15 min in the morning before work bc i get up late - bc i'm rushed i forget the extra steps.

Bleh, the abc news is so silly, this story's only value is let's judge the idiot woman who uses this dumb way to diet or let's give other idiot women the irresponsible, money grubbing Dr. Oliver Di Pietro's name so they can also do this unhealthy thing. shake head

bday gift now says 'with $35 purchase'. that's prob the requirement you're not meeting.

I think that was kinda my same problem...I don't burn, and I spend most of my time indoors, so I didn't really feel like I needed it. But I'm so sick of having to deal with pigment problems, that I'm making myself use it now lol. Plus, my skin gets oily overnight, so I have to wash and moisturize in the morning anyways. Do you use powder at all? Maybe you could try something like Colorscience's Sunforgettable [makeupalley.com] (they have mini orbs for $10, I think, and it comes in translucent as well as various shades). Laura Mercier and Jane Iredale also have powders with SPF, and they have decent to pretty good reviews from what I've seen.

With $35 purchase now? Goodbye smashbox! The LDLs haven't been good for a while. Glad I stocked up on softlights!

laugh out loud yeah i went searching for the bike. heheh

i have found that if i moisturize at night with a very heavy night cream/moisturizer, i wake up without an oily forehead. counterintuitive, but that's how my skin works... so that's what i've been doing. that's why i don't have to wash my face in the morning anymore.

i definitely have dehydrated skin, where it's dry on my cheeks and can get oily in t-zone given certain conditions. i used to use a very simple night cream (this boots [drugstore.com] one - looks like it's not even a night cream but just a cream) and it was very effective. since i've run out, i switched to a moisture mask [beautypedia.com] that paula said should be used overnight. i absolutely love it as a night cream. i think it's the jojoba oil in it that i love (and the fact that it has no dimethicone) [thanks to aya for getting it for me! i love it]

i've read that powders with SPF are generally not enough, unless you load up the powder. i don't like the cakey look, so i avoid powders with SPF. i know, on those days i don't wear any other SPF, the powder can help, but i don't want to trick myself into thinking i have SPF coverage when it's not really enough. i'll just hide from the sun instead on those days laugh out loud
