Awesome! I'm kind of stressed because dh is procrastinating and he needs to go get the car tag. He promised me he'd take care of it, but he's driving me bonkers. I might as well do it and I hate doing that kind of stuff.

Oh I HATE the car tags! We never had them in Michigan so when I moved to Louisiana I had NO clue what it was.

DH knows someone through work that does our tag on our ghetto car so we don't have to get the blinkers and headlights fixed CCJ is cheap and ghetto.

On another note, sorry hubby didn't do it! I hate doing that stuff too. I try to make sure it is near a favorite place to shop!

We haven't had a real family vaca in a long time either. The last time was 4 years ago I think. We are way over due. My brother is coming in the fall so we'll all go to Universal together for a few days, I think that is our next family vacation.

Neither does mine. :n o: He hates trying things on in the store, he hates to shop online, he hates figuring out where to shop. He usually says "I need a pair of jeans where should I go?" I wish he'd just leave it up to me. But he is awesome about shopping for me. He'll wait patiently while I try on a million things. :lm ao:

Maybe try Living Social, Eversave, or Half Off Depot? They usually have some pretty good deals. I had an email from Living Social with an all inclusive St. Lucia. vacation for $999. Something to look into. ; )

I didn't shop there much either. They just magically gave out elite status at some point. The fs is what is making me shop more

makeup junkies, How is the quality of elf make up? I was browsing thru site and stuffs there is pretty cheap. Is it any good? I am planning to buy few things for my own and some other stuffs for gifting.

there's actually a deal on groupon for a fiji resort that looks pretty nice. but i'm being weird and keep thinking "this is my once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon - i should go where i want, stay where i want, not wherever is cheapest!" HAH. we can afford it - we just don't really want to bc we're both pretty cheap. it's hard to get over the cheap bug!

my DBF/DF needed jeans but i had to order them for him. i guess i can just be on the lookout when i'm doing my own shopping. but for me, jeans are difficult - it's easier to buy him a shirt. jeans need to fit a particular way.

they're okay - pretty good for what they cost, but definitely not like, a steal. i have only ordered when they had 50% off codes. there are random great brushes (i can pm you a list of the ones i like if you want) and some of their products are good but not amazing. fun gift for teenage/younger girls. who did you want to get the gifts for?

I'm very energetic early in the morning and evening, but in the mid-afternoon I hit a huge slump, which even coffee can't fix.

I'm forcing myself to power through it though b/c I will be working full time soon and I'm pretty sure the real world frowns upon napping on the job.



You don't have to go super hard! I think just getting around and walking/jogging (whatever you are doing) is already world's better from not having any physical activity at all.

i am IN LOVE with the huts on the ocean!! but dbf/df is scared of water. i think he would get over it for me, but those also happen to cost two arms and two legs, a night. right now i'm looking in the south pacific - we know people who have gone to bora bora and tahiti and it looks divine (esp bora bora) but from what i read, it's more of a 'see and be seen' sort of place, which is very unlike both of us. it's also one of the most expensive places (i.e. hotel rooms start at 1k a night for nicer place, and meal plans, which you need to get bc you're on a secluded island with no other food source, start at like 1-200 a day per person! :fai nt i had almost decided on fiji - it's a happy medium - you still get the clear blue waters but it's not as frou frou (plus they speak english - big plus! and they're really nice) but there are these giant spiders that live there. :e ek: i'm scared, and dbf/df is really scared of spiders. they're supposedly harmless, but when it's the size of your palm, i don't think it matters. :erm m:

bali looks nice, but i keep thinking it's more of a vacation not a honeymoon. idk. it's not completely out of the question but i was aiming for more of a white sand beach/clear blue waters scene, at least for part of it. (bali's beaches are supposedly not the highlight - for those you should go to thailand in the area)

we just did europe last year so i'm not feeling that at all. i would consider asia, or south america (peru is on my list of things to do). but somehow it's not right without a beach component.

and dude, :whi p: get on your dbf and make him pay off his loans! he should be getting a tax refund soon (i just got mine! ) - make him put that towards his loans! any little bit counts... we don't have any loans and already it's feeling ridiculously difficult to save up for a house! oh, and my car is a 2000 accord tha'ts hitting 200k miles soon... and dbf/df's is older! hahaha we are total cheapskates. i don't plan on getting a new car anytime soon - my commute is 3 miles. if i can't drive i could technically take the bus.

One of the guys from work just got back from his honeymoon. He went to one of the Sandals resorts and said if he spent $20 his whole trip it was a surprise. He also booked his next trip while he was there lol. Just a thought, not sure if that is something you would like but I have heard good things. I am DYING for a vacation right now

What about Cancun?? I don't know how pricey that is, but I mean, if kids on spring break can afford it....Plus, I see that there are white sands [fbcdn.net]!!

My friend's sister went to Bali for her honeymoon and posted some pictures and it seemed pretty nice! But you're probably right about the vacation stuff, they were going to zoos and such, scuba diving, etc...

to Fuji! I lived there with my parents for the first few years of my life that I don't remember. Reading about the spiders...that's probably why I'm SOOOOO freaked out by spiders to this day I thought about going to check it out eventually cause I'd like to see what I don't remember, but I think I'm going to pass now...

There might be some places in the Caribbeans to look into. I remember checking out some places many months ago, but I guess I didn't bookmark it. I remember reading that there were private beaches and stuff, sounded wonderful. So you can probably look for some with private beaches, if that's what you wanna do. Could also be the cost of the 2 legs and 2 arms! Maybe resort style would be more reasonable! You need to wear your Newlywed bikini to some beach somewhere!!

About my DBF, yes, he got his refunds back in Feb or something, I think he put half to student loans and half to savings or something. I know he didn't put the full amount there. I guess his mindset is to put a little away everywhere instead of focusing bulk in one area and setting a little aside everywhere else or something. aiya I guess I'm glad he's in Seattle now, we don't need to have date nights or anything. Date nights via Skype The plus about him is that he doesn't care about cars! Phew! I hope my car will last another 5 years or so, it's '98 and with all the driving I've been doing these past 4-5 years, the miles rack up quickly, I think it's near the end of the car's life.
