Anybody want a 20 year old & 50 year old boy? Our DS came home saying he really likes the campus in Miami. Now he wants us to sell our home & buy a house down there, so he can go to school where he wants & still have us close by. Apparently, my DH is considering it. That's just what we need. Two homes in the same general area. Facepalm Those of you with little ones had better enjoy it while you can. This is what you've got to look forward to. The high school & college years are a total money pit. shake head

I have to deal with the moving issue way too often. My DH should be a gypsy. He'd like to move every 2 years. shake head The only thing that keeps him grounded is his mean wife. Teehee Our DS has never liked living here for some reason. Truthfully, I chose our home & I'm the only one that has ever loved it. That does make me feel bad sometimes, but it hasn't made me feel bad enough to agree to move yet. laugh out loud

A couple years ago, our DS wanted us to all move to Texas. The only way I would consider it was for DH to buy us a home on the ocean. Obviously, that wouldn't be cheap, so we wanted our DS to spend a little time there first. We had visited once, but it had been several years. We arranged for him to spend a little time touring Dallas in transit to the west coast. He saw for himself that it wasn't the Garden of Eden, so he let it go.

Next, he wanted us to move to Washington State with him. My DH & I were both on the same page with that one. No way we were moving to Washington. It's a nice state. It's just not for us. He then started trying to convince us to move to Northern Cali to be close to him. Once again, we vetoed the west coast. When he decided he was going to go anyway, my DH started hinting that we should consider moving to the Vegas area or somewhere else that would be closer to him, but still relatively warm. We sent him for a visit first to see what it was like, before making a commitment to move. Fortunately, he was only there 4 days, before he was ready to come home. Another near miss I managed to avoid.

Now we're here again, but it's the Miami area. Facepalm My DS said his dad told him we would consider moving down there to be closer him. My DH hasn't told me this yet. He's probably afraid to. laugh out loud I'm just tired of fighting the battle, & do feel a bit selfish that I'm the only one who really wants to be here. If only life could be simple.

The ironic thing about all this is my DH says I'm the one who has spoiled our DS. Rolleyes I'll admit he's spoiled & does need to start growing up. My DH & I both feel it's time he lived alone to go to school. He needs to prepare for the future. He has anxiety & depression issues though. We probably humor him more because of that. I'd feel horrible to think he was by himself & totally depressed.

The weather was great the whole time, had a fantastic room to DH, I & my bro. Went to the best luau and ran into the hula dancers into the restroom. I asked if they could give my bro a shout out since he was sad to be the only single person there- they brought him up on stage and he must have had 20 coconuts flying in his face OMG It was a great time, with the usual turmoil & trouble of traveling with the SIL snot...only this time, she picked a fight with my brother too Mad She needs to learn that acting as if the world revolves around you makes it a very lonely one indeed.

Got to wear my new VS bikinis and use the pink/black/white stripe tote. I can now report from my in-the-field testing:

Alvs- the cheekies- didn't feel that cheeky at all! Maybe b/c they're so modest in front, I didn't notice the back? I saw a lot of girls at the beach & pool with ruched butt-kini bottoms and they didn't seem any more daring than the other suits.

Nerdicus ( Coverlaugh )- the 5-way push-up biofit we discussed earlier was great and I did wear it as a strapless under a dress. I heart that thing!

Azn On the topic of "beach security", I use the BBW mesh tote with an opaque pocket- so then it looks like people can see that I don't have valuables in my tote, when in fact, they are concealed in the opaque portion that blends in the background. I've also dug a small hole for my goodies and laid the towel on top so it looks like nothing. Sly I kind of want a small container to do this with my phone/keys. Keys may fit well in a small container like an Altoids tin or maybe even Airborne canister. My bigger problem is that I bring my Kindle to the beach and I'll be darned if I'm going to let that out of my sight! (You know the car is parked a mile away too). Mellow

I hate to move. We moved from FL to PA and back FL. While here in the past three years we moved twice. We first landed in Lakeland and it was horrible there! So we moved here and we were supposed to be moved to Virginia last October. DH now has been promoted so we are stayin' put! I love our area and am getting used to the heat here. Cool

I lived in Miami 14 years ago I see that it has been built up a lot. I lived right off Biscayne Blvd on the Bay. Beautiful view horrible neighborhood! I liked living in Miami but I don't think I could ever get DH there. No
