i have to try it now! it doesn't look like it would be very secure! did you get it in your normal size?

also, love the new nickname. hope that sticks! laugh out loud glad you had a great vacay... i'm sure it was a nice vacation from bridezilla-ville.
I know, it doesn't look very substantial does it? I had to try it b/c I loved the pic of the model in this one print... it might be because the cups come up so high on the outer edges and top? IDK, but it's definitely more secure than any of the other strapless bikinis I own (all from VS, all the same size as this). Yes, I got it in my usual size. 32DD is my preferred size, but they don't usually offer that for bikini tops, so I went with big sis 34D and that turned out to be perfect- (maybe this means these tops run a tad small? Dontknow ).

And oooh yes, much needed break from bridezilla. Did I tell you I sent an email that laid everything out in the open? It included all the observations and complaints I've shared here and more with brutal honesty. And yet somehow, I'm still in this thing. Crylol

Now we're here again, but it's the Miami area. :facep alm: My DS said his dad told him we would consider moving down there to be closer him. My DH hasn't told me this yet. He's probably afraid to. :lo l: I'm just tired of fighting the battle, & do feel a bit selfish that I'm the only one who really wants to be here. If only life could be simple.

The ironic thing about all this is my DH says I'm the one who has spoiled our DS. :rolle ye: I'll admit he's spoiled & does need to start growing up. My DH & I both feel it's time he lived alone to go to school. He needs to prepare for the future. He has anxiety & depression issues though. We probably humor him more because of that. I'd feel horrible to think he was by himself & totally depressed.
Wow, that's a tough one! I hope he isn't using his depression and anxiety issues to play you guys to do whatever he wants. With time, I hope he sure gets over that or seek treatment that will help him once and for all. I can only imagine you guys doing this until he's well past his fledgling age.

I mean, there will be nervousness to some extent since I know that I would never be able to move out of SoCal, but that's because I love it here. People have said to me, you never know where else you may like because you haven't lived there and I'm thinking, "Who cares? I know what I like and I'm going to stick to it." So maybe it's a good thing he found a school in Miami that is still in the same state that he can attend, so maybe he can step out of that nest, even for a while since you guys are close enough to him this time around.

I'm baaaaaaaaack! Surf

The weather was great the whole time, had a fantastic room to DH, I & my bro. Went to the best luau and ran into the hula dancers into the restroom. I asked if they could give my bro a shout out since he was sad to be the only single person there- they brought him up on stage and he must have had 20 coconuts flying in his face OMG It was a great time, with the usual turmoil & trouble of traveling with the SIL snot...only this time, she picked a fight with my brother too Mad She needs to learn that acting as if the world revolves around you makes it a very lonely one indeed.

Got to wear my new VS bikinis and use the pink/black/white stripe tote. I can now report from my in-the-field testing:

Azn On the topic of "beach security", I use the BBW mesh tote with an opaque pocket- so then it looks like people can see that I don't have valuables in my tote, when in fact, they are concealed in the opaque portion that blends in the background. I've also dug a small hole for my goodies and laid the towel on top so it looks like nothing. Sly I kind of want a small container to do this with my phone/keys. Keys may fit well in a small container like an Altoids tin or maybe even Airborne canister. My bigger problem is that I bring my Kindle to the beach and I'll be darned if I'm going to let that out of my sight! (You know the car is parked a mile away too). Mellow
Welcome back! Too bad your SIL will never grow up shake head But otherwise, it sounded like you had a great time!

Thanks for the tote reviews. good to know the pink, black, and white striped one gets lighter in the wash, but kind of disappointed that the stitching is coming undone already! EEK!

Loving the digging the small hole in the sand idea! I think I may attempt this next time. The only valuable things I would have are keys and phone. I usually take everything out of my bag except sun block and water bottle so the bag is pretty flat laugh out loud But gosh, you never know! I actually like this section I go to at Newport where free parking super close! heart Hate having to walk so long and carry so much crap! laugh out loud I guess you have to put someone on Kindle patrol. What if you laid it on the bottom of the tote? And then put everything on top? So it just looks like the bottom structure of the bag?

has anyone tried the brow shaper in "charcoaled"? i looked in mua, and it seems asian ladies like the shade. i'm thinking of getting that and deodorant (which i noticed is now $10, didn't it use to be $9?) also, i think i'm over gwp's laugh out loud i don't see anything special with this one like all other gwp's.

also, the $20 bloom.com voucher is haunting me. i can't really find anything i want to buy and having a hard time getting to $49.

I haven't tried that particular brow shaper. I've been using this CoverGirl brow pencil [covergirl.com] for years and it works well. I use the black shade. If you go light-handed and use a feathering technique plus a brow brush to blend, the results look good.

I'm passing on this GWP. It's nice, but aside from the bag, I don't want anything else. Shocker! laugh out loud

Hubby has been wonderful today. We're enjoying a low key day at home - DD isn't feeling well. He made breakfast and had flowers and a sweet card and balloons...he's making dinner too. heart I'm not a huge holiday person but this was perfect. Hope you all are having a great one!

I hate to move. We moved from FL to PA and back FL. While here in the past three years we moved twice. We first landed in Lakeland and it was horrible there! So we moved here and we were supposed to be moved to Virginia last October. DH now has been promoted so we are stayin' put! I love our area and am getting used to the heat here. :c ool:
Where were you moving to in VA? We spent a couple years in Richmond. I hated every minute of it, & couldn't wait to move.

I don't like moving either. It was okay at first, but we had moved 5 times by the time our DS was in 2nd grade. My DH would keep moving, but I'd had enough. I finally found the place I want to be for as long as possible. Eventually we'll end up moving out of this house, even if we don't move to Miami for our DS to go to school. When my DH retires, we plan to spend half the year in NC & the other half in our place in North Miami. We won't need a house this big, when our DS moves out for good. Plus, we won't have as much company, since we'll be spending 1/2 the year around our family in NC.

Congrats on your DH's promotion & being able to stay here.

He doesn't try to use depression & anxiety to his advantage. As a matter of fact, he has changed his diet hoping a healthier body will help him feel better mentally as well. As his mom, it really worries me & makes me sad for him at the same time. I've never been one to really get depressed, so I don't know what he goes through. He over thinks everything, which is a major contributor. It's like his mind never takes a break.

I don't blame you for not wanting to leave a place you love. Everyone would be happier, if they lived where they most wanted to be. What one person considers paradise another may not like at all. If there was a universally desired location, we'd all be packed in like sardines & the rest of the country would be empty. laugh out loud
