Whee another 18 bday! Smilie

omg that is an awesome deal!!! Woot if i didn't already have them i would totally buy them.

it's so easy to return tho... Frown they do have very expensive shipping. that's why i always go the buy/return route.

ok, that pushed me over the edge and i ordered. use code: REBATES10OFF2DAY for 10% off (and go from mrr for 10% cb).

It is easy to return things but it isn't fair of them to keep hiking up the shipping cost when everyone else is trying to make it cost less. BAD MACY'S!

Ahh that pushed me over the edge too. laugh out loud I use the UD setting spray which is supposed to be the same thing and a tiny bottle of that is $12 so I only used it for special occasions. I don't think it is a miracle spray but it helps a bit.

thebalm shadylady promo is up [thebalm.com] Woot

i've been so good at resisting makeup deals, but i couldn't pass this one up! thanks ccj!

eta: i just noticed thebalm's website seems a little backwards. i kinda got to the order confirmation page unexpectedly, i guess i was expecting an "are you sure you want to submit order" page first. i also can't find order info even though i created account. their confirmation email looks very simple. i guess it goes with the whole 50's(?) theme Unsure

I'm going to resist the TheBalm deals because I just got one of their palettes the other day and I don't need another but the quality is great!

i haven't gotten proper curls from it yet bc i still can't figure out how to use it. admittedly, i haven't tried again after the first failed attempt. i think my problem is that it's too tapered so my hair really does slide off of it rather than wrap around it. the herstyler feels just as slippery, but for some reason my hair will stay around that. maybe the fat wand is too fat for my hair...? oh, my hair length is 24" also, at the longest! but the sides are shorter which may be what you saw when you said my hair looked so short! she left length in the back but trimmed a lot on the sides.
I think I figured the best way to prevent snagging while putting the hair on there is to make the little stand thingy face out. My hair was getting caught like crazy when that stand thingy was facing in. I know you might accidentally push the buttons and decrease/increase the heat, but I think that's better than snagging.

I was able to do my hair in 20 minutes, considerably shorter than the herstyler, which took me almost 2 hours on my first try. Faint I think it's because the wand is so thin, I couldn't do large chunks at a time.

For me, the Remington feels less slippery than the Herstyler...maybe you didn't use large enough chunks? Not sure. I didn't realize your hair was that long too! Mine's not thinned out much, so that could be why. I hope once I get my hair cut, I won't have too much trouble using it. I usually get it layered. I pinned up the shorter layered pieces and did those last.

i just used it successfully!! you're right, the stand thing totally has to face out - i discovered that when i did my first strand just now, and used that technique for the rest of the time and it worked!

i think what also helped this time was switching hands - bc the glove that came with the remington is only right handed, i was trying to use my right hand to wrap my left hair strands - it didn't work out so well. when i switched, it all fell into place. Smilie i actually think it takes me a similar amount of time with herstyler and this one. i still think the fat wand is more slippery and my hair was falling out if it more (the thinned out layers would slip out). i'll probably sleep in it and see how the curls hold up - the ultimate test. Coverlaugh i only put a tiny bit of fekkai glossing cream and sprayed matrix thermal protection mist before i blow-dried my hair, but it doesn't seem to be falling out. i like how soft my curls are this time. Smilie there is hope yet! too bad every time i curl my hair i think 'why is my head so big??' because the volume makes my head look huge.

go for the xs. i didn't like the fit of the s as much as the xs. for me the xs is a bit tight in the chest area, but i feel like it accentuated my body a bit more bc it cinched in my waist a little, while the s didn't do anything.

I'm excited. I bought one of my becca tops on 6pm for $20! I had the matching cover up with this suit too so I hated to toss it!

2 or 4. i think all my dresses are xs, but that's because they aren't form fitting.
