these [target.com] are the pants that i picked up in tarjay - i love the colors! too bad so many are oos in all but sizes 15-17. Frown i got the 'neon blue' but it's not neon at all! and i actually fit the 3 bc they're so low-waisted. awesome pants. wish i could find the yellow in my size.
Those are cute. I like the blue! What about these in yellow [target.com]? Although they are denim not a chino. Smilie

NV... I only see size 1 and 7. Embarrassment

:w oot: Keep it up! The scale is a great motivator - I think the numbers can be wonky sometimes. (Especially when you gain muscle.) You can gauge by how your jeans/clothes fit. : ) (Congrats on giving up smoking too!)

Me too...I keep hoping for some %-off swim code.

Hah! I don't have a DD but I do have a mother who likes to remind me which age bracket I'm rapidly approaching. :cr ying:
Thanks! I try not to pay too much attention when it isn't going down fast, especially if I know I am doing what I am supposed to. At least it is moving now! Quitting smoking was the hardest thing I ever did - but I am SO happy now Smilie Thanks Wink
Quote from Tizzylicious :
DH felt the same way, and I do to an extent. My 13 year old isn't walking around in Pink outfits with writing on her butt or pushup bras like some girls her age do. I took her to VS to be measured properly and while we were there I picked up 2 of the Pink bras. I wasn't about to spend $50 on a bra for her. The Pink everyday bra's are cheap enough 2/$40. They will hold up well. They also had some bralettes for $9.99.

I could deal with heat, it's the humidity I can't stand! Makes my hair frizzy too! :teeh ee:
I wasn't even sure the age of your DD, so I was hoping my wording didn't offend you. I just see kids as trying to grow up SO fast! I think it is awesome that your DD got some nice bras and that her growing up is a good experience. I just hate seeing parents getting their young girls VS and Dream Angels bras! I remember getting my first gras with my mom, and even the ones after that - I was large chested at such a young age, my mom always got me old lady bras - the playtex in a box ones laugh out loud I remember being so embarrassed when friends would come over, I would hide my bras in the bottom of my laundry hamper!

:iagr ee: Oh- if you need more of the BBV, the normal colors are on sale for $31.50 and DA Demi's are $36. PS- the strapless one I love so much, they actually have it still- it's in the Very Sexy clearance section in leopard print (I can tell by the wire in b/w the cups), item #274-465. Think I'm going to pick it up.
Yes! Thank you for the pricing information. I was prepared to pay $55, now I know to wait : )
I think the VS label raises a lot more eyes than it should, stressing parents out. My aunt bought me my first lace bra and my parents had a cow. It was really just the first pretty thing I owned and wasn't going to be shown to anyone else, I wore it for slight support under PJ's. My first intro to woman-hood and feeling feminine :gi rly: . Like you said, not that 'girls trying to grow up too fast' don't exist.
:n od: :l ol: Not gonna lie though, I think S in the ruched tube dress looked better for the draping in the lower part of the skirt. Must work on this beer gut before it gets out of hand :l ol:
is that a mailer?
I just worry about kids growing up too fast - I think it's awesome your aunt was so cool when you were younger! Now, when I see young girls in Fredericks,THAT isn't right laugh out loud
Quote from Kris7828 :
I hate seeing high schoolers or younger wearing the Pink line. It was originally made for college aged girls, but that's gone out the window. I stopped wearing most of my Pink clothing two years ago when my 25 year old husband came home from teaching telling me about how many high schooler's had been wearing Pink to school. Pink seems to be turning into Aeropostal where every middle schooler shops. : ( Maybe I'm just getting old and cranky about it!
I'm getting old too Frown I have a few pairs of Pink sweats, but they have sewn on letters on the leg, no print graphics on the butt. I also only have one Pink hoodie - but I almost feel like people are going to look at me and think I am trying to be too young, and I am 27! It's sad, but I guess I should just stick with the VS line of stuff Frown
Quote from ALVSGIRLY :
I still like the 2 for $28 cotton tees and some of the BAMA stuff. I don't know when the last time I bought a pair of pink sweats or a hoodie (anything that has writing all over it). The stuff I have bought is mainly for lounging. I may wear a plain v-neck tee or a collegiate hoodie to target or the tanning salon. I like to dress up when I leave the house!
I live in the Pink essential tees. They are so soft and so comfy. I also like that they don't say Pink all over and the only way anyone would know is if they see the little embroidered dog. I'm also more of a jeans and t-shirt girl, not too much dressing up after work is out for the week!
Quote from Tizzylicious :
DH was opposed because he's used to me in the sexy VS stuff and didn't know they had the regular old cotton bras there. :te ehee: He also doesn't want his daughters wearing clothes made for college girls or with something written across their butts. :lma o: But most of all he didn't want me spending $55 on a bra for a teen. But I had to remind him I don't pay $55 for bras for myself. Wink

High schoolers, try middle school and elementary schools! I went to DD's schools this year and they were wearing it! One of them is in 5th and the other is in 7th and I was surprised to see it. Heck my niece wears the Pink line and she's in 6th grade. Don't get me started on that.......:no no2:

I have to admit I do like their NFL/MLB line. Just wish the PINK on the back of their stuff wasn't there. :n od:

So do any of you ladies shop "Tarjay?" I'm looking for some shorts in a lime green and am liking these chinos [targetimg2.com]. Can't beat a $12 [target.com] price tag either. I can't seem to find lime green shorts that aren't booty shorts. :teeh ee:
I like those shorts! I find Merona stuff runs a little large, but it does hold up well and is definitely a good buy for the price Smilie

Middle school!? Wow. My parents certainly didn't have the money to spend on that kind of stuff when I was younger, and even if they did I do not think they willingly would have bought me anything from VS that young!
Quote from Kris7828 :
Yeah, I still wear my Pink tanks and sleep shorts. They are very comfy. I can't fit in Pink bras so I've never bought them. But I used to have Pink clothing out the wazoo. After the realization that its now the cool thing for 15 years olds to wear (I just turned 26) I sold a lot of my tops and shorts/pants on ebay. I was surprised to find that certain times of the year Pink sells really well! lol I still sometimes have to resist the urge to buy something from the Pink line. I was in my store last week and they had this http://www.victoriassecret.com/pi...ueType=OLS for sale. I thought about it and was strong enough to walk away.
hug Way to go on resisting!! I know, I like stuff sometimes but I just think it is too young for me.
Quote from GirlOnTheBeach :
UGH!! Don't get me started!!! I actually had a mother b*tch me out one day because Pink size XS ran "too large" for her 12 yr old daughter and we "really ought to start making size XXS." I wanted to scream at her, "THAT'S BECAUSE ITS NOT MADE FOR 12 YR OLDS!!" Not to mention the hordes of teeny boppers that come in to buy their 5/$26 Pink v-strings and bombshell bras with mommy or daddys credit card. Literally makes me sick. I started working at VS (when I was 21) because I LOVED Pink. Now I only buy pink on a rare occasion and it's usually a hoodie or sleepwear. My obsession has moved onto bras & panties. :tee hee:
Ugh - I would go NUTS seeing that every day. I probably would have told the lady they aren't made for 12 year olds!!!

My first two SAS packages will be here Tuesday! A FULL WEEK. They are killing me!

My daughter loves the half-zips--as comfy as a sweatshirt but looks nicer.

I was just in store today and they sure are bright. I'm a bit annoyed that so many of the styles have crystals on them now... I mean, I like blingy boobies as much as the next person, but I don't like all the bumps - especially when they don't add to the design.
I have a few of the bras with bling. I'll have to be careful what I wear with them, but they were too pretty to resist for the price I paid. Girly

:hug : Thanks. Me too. Felt stiff in this tiny area, so went to do some stretches to relax it and whoooooooooa no, it is clearly not a muscle issue : ( (and clearly I still haven't had it looked at : O ). I tell you, I have such an appreciation now for people with chronic back pain/problems. Also, I should clarify that I don't have a problem with age in numbers, I just have a problem with my body feeling old with all of the aches and pains. Feels like this vessel is falling apart .
Rite Aid sells them- it's in their AS SEEN ON TV section. About $10 ? I need to get one of those body pillows too, but not for my legs. I need it so DH doesn't roll up the comforter and snuggle with it while I freeze.
I feel your pain with the aging body. My mind & body definitely don't feel the same age. I hear music & want to dance like I used to. Unfortunately, I'm quickly reminded that I'm not as young as I used to be. shake head

Thanks

I think I'll order them in a couple different sizes so I can get free shipping and the right size. : teehee: I am loving all the colors myself. Especially the three I listed and I am looking for a cobalt pair too. So many fun colors this season!
I love my cobalt shorts from VS. I'd like to get more clothes that color. Those lime green shorts from Target are cute. I bought some bright orange (electric melon) shorts from VS. http://www.victoriassecret.com/cl...ueType=OLS I like them with the top I got to wear them with, but I don't know how often they'll be worn. My DH says I look like I have bird legs in them. I'm guessing he's not crazy about them. laugh out loud

LMAO You poor thing. That is too funny. I hate those old lady bras. I told DH even when I'm 60 I'm not wearing those things! laugh out loud My mom never took me bra shopping. I had a job at 12 and earned my own money so I would go and buy my own.

Maybe I should go in store and try them on first. Then I can get my size and order them online if the price isn't the same.

Those are cute, but I hate cargo on me. Did you ever order the Eva [victoriassecret.com]? I like them too but they don't have a lime green color or melon color. Frown

I have Eva shorts in cobalt, black, & white. I like them much better than the cargo shorts, but I wanted the melon color to have something a little different from my norm. They were also cheaper, when I ordered them. Wink

Yes, I'm 26 and I know exactly how you feel. I think when I'm looking for cozy/comfy I'm going with the Supermodel Essentials from now on. Hopefully they have a lot of it at this SAS. Is it bad that I google the ages of the models wearing the lines? I think if she's wearing it then I should be able to. Maybe they made the Supermodel Essentials line because the quintessential "Pink" girl was getting too old. lol I read somewhere that the year 1986 that's on a lot of Pink stuff was picked because that was the year the girls wearing the clothes would have been born. Maybe they should make is 1996 now. EEK!

i may have the worst underwear experience. this may be tmi, but too funny, i want to share. my mom wrote names in permanent marker on our panties. not on the tags, but on the upper right hand of the actual cloth Rofl2 she has 5 daughters, so maybe it makes sense to her. we never really minded it until we got older (like high school-ish).

i think my mom forgets that we have grown up. my sister (next to me, younger) one time brought home some panties & half-slips she bought with her own money. my mom wrote names on them! my sister was college-aged! she cried so hard Rofl2

i just looked at completed listings for pink shirts and they only go for $5 - 6, if they sell at all. for this price, i'd rather wear them around the house since they are very comfy anyway.

btw, when i went on vacay last year, i saw a store/stand of pink knock-offs. i'm not sure if they copy actual designs, or they make their own designs. have those made their way to ebay?

So basically what you all are saying is I would look ridiculous if I wore one of my PINK sweatsuits? Hahaha...I only have two PINK hoodies with matching pants. It has probably been several years since I have worn either, but the last time I did and was in VS the SAs were talking about me. And not in a good way, so I confronted them. I digress, I do have a few hoodies & pants that do not match. I live in my PINK hoodies, but my mother killed my love of the pants. When she began wearing them all the time, I stopped buying them. I also still wear the tees, but they stopped producing them in the cute prints so I do not purchase them anymore. I do have quite a few MLB & NFL tees though. I wish I sold on eBay. I could probably get a little change from my PINK items.

I wear my hoodies out for errands/coffee runs. Admittedly, I used to be very obsessed with the hoodies (remember the blinged out "dueling" guitar one?). I would not wear a full-on PINK sweatsuit anymore though (I have 3 full sets). I just don't feel comfortable at my age. I did wear my PINK sweat shorts out today for a quick coffee run.

I've seen knock-offs on eBay. I'm not surprised about it though. There's knock-offs of every popular American brand (AE, A&F).

i have it!!! wouldn't forget cg got them for me.

i have so many hoodies, they are just not as useful as they can be for me (1) i'm getting too old; (2) my students wear them Teehee i used to be the student so that made a huge difference; (3) it's doesn't get as cold here.

i make quick errand runs in them, and sometimes do see my students where i go, the city is too small Frown
