not sure what to do with my big express rewards. i'm going to be big time negative next time! and i don't want to order anything new and chance losing it. i'm thinking about rebuying the striped ruched dress with my $30 reward, but will it go to 30 or 40% off clearance? kurpee - any idea?

you're in luck, i've tried both. i loved both the first time i tried them on. then i nitpicked. the mesh dolman is great fit- and style-wise, and i already owned the plain version. i was going to buy the striped too, but i realized the striped were too big and overwhelming, so i passed. i'd recommend you get it in the plain and in size xs. i have the s, and it is a little loose, but i just rock it like that

the problem with the lurex is i thought it would be better if it was longer. i'm still unsure about keeping it. i still have it here. i might retry it and see if a longer underlayer would make it better, and check how much i paid for it.

thank you! i was preferring the mesh over the lurex bc i thought it looked short on the model. if you're complaining it might be a bit short on you, i'm taking it off my list. that helps!

kurpee - do you have that pointelle stripe dolman in S or XS? i got XS and it's fine but could be longer. i haven't tried to wash it yet tho. i wonder how it holds up? i know it wrinkles easily - i had to iron mine.

ok, i just tried on the lurex again. it is not short... it is the sleeves that are a little too short and wide, like they are not correctly proportioned.



in xs. mine is still in the unopened bag i bought 2 of them and returned the one i tried on.

My striped dress just came!

it may work better for you though, but it wasn't as flattering as the striped one bc the striped one is not stretchy so it cinches in my waist. however, that one runs a lot smaller than all the others. i could wear the metallic lace in - 0 or 2 (but the 2 was a better fit - 0 was tight). i couldn't zip up the 2 in the striped and had to get a 4, which is snug. it may not be as forgiving for your large chest - the top was where it was tight for me.

this dress [express.com] on the other hand is awesome. it somehow hides my flaws and is super flattering! i got an S - i've been getting more XS than S at express it seems, but the S was snug. i'd say 1 size up from the strapless dress you and alvs love.

:lol : true vanity sizing! : coverlaf: it's like my new colored gap pants/khakis. i had to get 00 just to get them to fit. they're still loose. wtf!

so annoyed - i came home early, went to get the mail and saw ups truck. got excited kuz i'm expecting ups shipments. i peeked out but didn't see the driver so i came back inside to wait for the packages. 20 minutes later, still didn't hear anything, so i open the door only to find a notice left. : annoyed: how the heck did i miss him?! grrrrrr. i knew i should have gone out to the back of the truck to find the driver to get my packages! :mad :

I concur that the scoopneck ruched dress [express.com] is fantastic! So comfy, such great quality. Suck that VS. I picked up the green geometric print one in-store today, because I want a print, but have too much green- will probably just go with the pink from online and return this one.

High-waist color block skirt [express.com] I had my doubts, it never would have stood out to me on the rack, but after all the talk, I tried it and I loved it too! haha I'll keep the tag on until I use it.

SHORTS - after all, this was supposed to be my goal for the day. Fit notes: I've always had skinny legs that swim in shorts, I favor the slimmer cuts.

Sailor Shorts [express.com] - pretty short in length. Very comfy, easy pull-on with a little stretch in them. Lightweight. Got the bright pink, it's fairly opaque- so most panties should be fine under them. Never would have paid original price for them,
Yoke front pleated silky shorts [express.com] - Parachute-like material. Not my fav, I prefer a more structured fabric. Look nice in the deep brown. Feel very loose all over b/c of the fabric and poof out a little in the front.
Notch-back cuffed shorts - [express.com]I'm in b/w sizes on these, so frustrating! Size 2 wedges right up my chimichanga but size 4, the legs flare out from my legs too much. The fabric is wonderful- a nice structured medium weight with a sheen.
Flap pocket shorts [express.com] Fabric was in b/w the notch-back and the yoke-front silky shorts when it comes to weight/structure. They would have been cute if I could find a pair in a size I could zip up! Super bright red is on sale in-store, looks great.
Canvas Shorts [gap.com] from the GAP, $28. I love these. I bought them in turquoise and black. Just the right length, just the right size leg hole for me. My one concern about them is wrinkling, so I'll wash 1 pair for now.

Knit Dolman-sleeve top [gap.com] Another GAP find. These are $15 final sale in-store. After trying all the knit/crochet tops from Express and feeling like they just made me look chunky, turns out, a knit with no pattern is a winner! :woot :

i :heart : those gap shorts also!!! i only got 1 so far (charcoal) - i can attest that they do fine in the wash. : ) what size did you get in those? i am really loving the gap this season. the length is perfect for me. i bought them when they were on special for $25 online, but didn't know what colors to get. now i'm thinking i should get black also.

That's so weird, because I love the crisscross dress! The darts weren't a problem for me and I have broad shoulders for a size 6 so I use up all the length in the straps. I guess it's not for everyone though. It's so rarely I find structured styles that fit without needing alterations.

btw i got this dip dye shirt [express.com] and it's reeeeeeally soft. i'm keeping it! i love soft casual shirts. (got orange bc i'm not a pink fan and apparently orange is the color of the season) ordered S and it's a little loose but i'm going to keep it bc it looks like the kind of fabric that would shrink after a wash.

I also got this one yesterday [victoriassecret.com]. I decided to try cheeky but these are ruched cheeky . Don't think I'm going to try that even though they're not as bad as the panties I once had . I do think the suit is really cute though.

That's my swim bottom, Ally! You thief!!! Hahaha...I love ruched cheekies. My favorite bottoms EVER. I have five of them, I believe. They make my booty look INCREDIBLE!!!
