If I order the striped dress, I'll try a 6. Express dresses seem to run bigger than VS, but I'd probably need at least a 6 in that dress, if you need a 4. For most things I tried on at Express, I need a small.
...
I hate vanity sizing too. If a 00 fits a size 2, true 00 wearers are out of luck. I've found many brands stop at 4 now. I guess I never noticed, until I got below that size once again. It seems like it was easier to get smaller sizes, when I was younger.

Won't UPS leave your packages, even with a note? I never answer the door, & they always leave my packages. It's been years, since I've had to leave a note. I guess they finally realized it's okay to leave them.
...
I was going to ask, if you like the Gap shorts better than Eva shorts, then I saw your other post about them. I'm curvy, so Eva shorts are probably better for me. My DH doesn't like the bird leg look they give me though. Stick Out Tongue
...
the striped ruched is the first dress at express i've tried that actually ran a little more true to "real" sizes. a lot of things seem to run big. there's FS on 125 on the site right now! today's the last day. (unless it's only for me...? go and check!)

i was annoyed bc UPS always leaves my packages. i guess perfumania won't let them do that so they held all 3 of my packages bc of that one. (i'm assuming it was perfumania that had the restriction) i'll have to try to make it home early again today and put the note out - the note says that you accept liability for missing packages since you authorize them to leave it, so i'm a little wary of it. i hope they don't change their schedule today and come early! they usually don't get to my place till 6-7 but once in awhile they'll come by at 1 - if they do that i'm screwed.

the gap shorts prob won't work on you if you're curvy. some reviewers complained that there was a big gap laugh out loud in the waist. for me, they fit better than eva. they look longer for some reason even tho they're supposedly the same inseam.

:lol : you haven't worn it?? i've worn mine twice i think. it's a really nice summery fabric!
do you think i should save my rewards? or just use it now. i have been wanting to get that sweater in black ever since i tried the green and loved it (and bought it). the white i just added bc i don't have a lot of white in my wardrobe. also getting the mesh dolman blindly (in garnet). i think everything else is a reorder. i see how addicting express is tho...
No wonder we froze in California both times we visited. laugh out loud I was wondering why you girls were buying fall & winter clothes. I can't imagine wearing a sweater here now, regardless of how thin it may be. We would melt. At least, you've satisfied my curiosity on why you all are buying sweaters now. Stick Out Tongue

i have little opportunity to go out. i don't go to work right now.

i think $50 off $150 is as good as it gets for you. 50% with $15 off $30 and also 40% with $30 off $75 are better than 33%, but you can't do them since your reward is too big.

btw i got this dip dye shirt [express.com] and it's reeeeeeally soft. i'm keeping it! i love soft casual shirts. (got orange bc i'm not a pink fan and apparently orange is the color of the season) ordered S and it's a little loose but i'm going to keep it bc it looks like the kind of fabric that would shrink after a wash.
i have it in pink xs, and still debating. i also noticed how soft it is. the reason why i'm undecided on it is that i already have many shirts cut the same.

laugh out loud i believe it's the lack of humidity that made you freeze. Stick Out Tongue that sweater is a super light material tho. it's rayon and feels like a summer shirt, except they called it a "sweater". and if you went to SF - well it's always cold up there. but down where i am it actually gets pretty hot - it's still bearable now tho. we rarely get any humidity whatsoever tho, so if you're used to FL heat then you'd likely be cold here.

i do wear actual sweaters in the summer, but only to work bc the hotter it gets outside, the colder it is in my office. if it's 90 outside it's 70 in my office.

Nice play on words. laugh out loud The size 2 Eva shorts don't touch flush to my skin in the back, so I wear tops out. If I tucked the top in, I'd need a belt. They fit okay everywhere else, so I wear them. I like wearing my tops out anyway. The Gap shorts are probably a definite no-go for me.

Good luck meeting up with the UPS guy today. It kills me to have to wait even longer for a package.

thanks hon! i just placed my order. i hope my decision to keep (i reordered) the dip dye in S was ok. it was pretty loose but i guess i'm ok with that - my bigger fear for shirts like that is that they shrink in length. a little baggy is ok.

i wore that sweater to the mall one weekend. that was when dbf was telling me ppl were staring bc they thought i wasn't wearing a cami underneath. shake head

We've been to SF in June & San Diego in April. SF was cold & rainy, which we expected. We expected it to be warmer in SD, & didn't pack appropriately. We had to buy jackets. Fortunately, we had packed jeans. It was really windy & chilly. We've never been inland in Cali, which is obviously much warmer. LA often has temps higher than we do in the summer. We've never been there to compare the types of heat though. In Florida, the further south you go &/or the closer you get to the coasts, the hotter it is. California didn't seem to follow those patterns, which took us by surprise. We now know better & would be better prepared in the future.

I have a VS mesh top http://www.victoriassecret.com/se...earch=true (mine is a color not listed) that's too hot to wear now. It will be a fall & winter top. I can't imagine wearing a sweater of any kind outside. I always carry one to wear inside though. It makes sense that you wear sweaters to work. I hate being cold.

i'm going through my express returns. looks like the sa refunded me on jeans ($30) for cami ($15) i returned. seems like a good deal since i profitted $15 for the error, but i was going to return that jeans by mail, looks like i won't be able to now. i am returning my lilac, but it seems i'll be stuck with a bright blue [express.com] laugh out loud

nod It is still FREEZING at night when it's pretty darn hot during the day! At least for me, I can't imagine going out at night without a sweater. That will change in the dead of summer though!

oh yeah, sd gets cold. especially in april... i would say in most of so cal, it gets cold all seasons except summer. i was in tampa once in feb and was surprised that it was warm enough to wear dresses/shorts/summer wear. when i checked the weather online, it seemed comparable to our weather here. i guess the humidity just makes it that much warmer - i was hot in my jeans there in feb!

i think bc of the dry heat i can still wear those "sweaters" in the summer here. they're breathable, so when there's a breeze it'll be fine. and yeah - for us, it's more like, if you go out by the coast it gets 10 degrees cooler. nod definitely not the same pattern!

awwww. Comfort but it fits you otherwise? did you get the 0? for me the tightest part was around the ribs. the bottom is neither too big nor too tight around my hips.

those are cute! i wish i could wear them!

i hate when they do that tho - i was going to ask what happens if they refund the wrong thing. i've been ordering/returning a bunch of mens shirts for the wedding, and one return (grey shirt) they crossed off and refunded a white shirt, which i now want to return. i'm not sure what to do with it. i may go in store and explain my situation, but it seems difficult. i was thinking about doing a return without receipt and exchanging for some other stuff instead, but i haven't decided yet.

i think your item will show as already returned so technically it is no longer on your receipt. i believe express doesn't do returns/exchanges without receipt at all. they put that policy in place probably within the last 2 years.

oh weird - they let me do that a few weeks ago, bc i asked them to look up the receipt and they couldn't find it. they said only exchange for stuff in store tho. i'll have to ask them to see what can be done.
