I need some of you with more practical minds to tell me what I should do. laugh out loud Do I really need 4 colors/prints in the same dress? I love that dress & I want all the colors. Here's the but..... I've ordered/bought 11 dresses/skirts recently. I wear them on cruises (10 day, but 2 are formal nights. I have different dresses for those.) & will now wear them to nice dinners, which we do 5 to 10 times a year. There's 2 more dresses I'm definitely buying at Express, when there's a deal. So, should I buy the other 2 colors in the same dress? I don't know what to do. Embarrassment
Super practical me would say 1 dress only! At most 1 print + 1 color. Only keep the best Wink There'll be new dresses and more styles to buy later on!

btw i went everywhere looking for the nubra last night (ross, nords rack, marshalls) - i didn't make it to tj maxx bc i forgot about the new one that opened up down the street from my work and had planned on going today. but then i found one at sears (nubra lite) and grabbed it just in case. on my way home i stopped by target and found one there too - i am keeping the target one bc it is EXACTLY THE SAME except without the 'nubra' brand on the box (but everything else is exactly the same). they didn't have a b cup so i got the c - it works fine (b would likely work for me as well). i'm not sure how it'd work for larger girls without perky boobs tho. but seriously, it is the best invention known to (wo)man and i have no idea why i never tried it before! it took a few tries to get it to go on right, but once it did, it was awesome. i tried it with that blue open cross back vs tank that no one else seemed to like but me (i tried on the white one tho, and it is going back - the blue fits better and isn't see-thru - the white was too large in the same size) and that is how i will be wearing it, so i can expose the back.

Also, I need jeans. Which Express jeans would be best for me, & what size should I order? The only bottoms I've bought recently were the size 2 shorts at VS & size 26 Lucky shorts. The VS shorts are obvious vanity sizing. Are Express jeans true sizes or vanity sizes?
It depends on how much the dresses cost. I have 6 of Forever 21's mesh top dress [forever21.com] in all different colors and prints. They were all under $10 though. I started wearing dresses more because I accumulated so many cute ones. I'll wear dresses to casual dinners and to just hang out with friends, which even a year ago I never would have done. As for the jeans, I've found Express jeans sizing about the same as VS pants, but I only have 2 pairs and they're old.

I am going to ask some follow-up questions before responding:
do you think you might wear that dress normally, like out shopping, or to the beach? The strapless might keep you cool in the nasty florida heat - if you think it may become a comfy staple to your everyday routine, then you should get all the colors you want, because i know it's difficult for you large-chested girls to find a truly comfortable dress that flatters your assets, etc. I remember you mentioned that you can never wear strapless dresses, but somehow this one works for you - I'm not sure if you'll find another that will fit that bill. However, if you're only planning on using these dresses on your cruise and at dinners a few times a year, I'd say only get 2 of them (I like wolfie's 1 solid 1 print rule).

If you're not sure, maybe you can get all the ones you want now, and only wear your favorite - that way you can still return the others later if you change your mind (love the 90 day return policy!).

I don't know about express jeans, but express pants fit about the same as vs for me. I generally wear a size 2 in everything also, in both VS and express. But if you're not sure, the best thing would be to try it on in store - jeans fit everyone differently.

no to duplicate dresses. keep your money to shop for other things.
i am 2 in both exp and vs. for jeans i like stella more than zelda, but that is for my body shape. stella is regular fit, low waist; zelda is skinny fit, ultra low waist.

red is correct. that is how the items are priced in the invoice.
however for store purchase, if you buy 2 items at bogo half, they distribute the discount to the 2 items. in effect, if the 2 items are same price, the discount will be 25% off of each instead of 50% off one. that is how they are priced in the store receipt.
Thanks for all the advice & help. nerdi has me really wanting that dress in print now. shake head You all have convinced me to definitely pass on white. I'm tempted to order the print, then decide on 2 out of the 3 to keep. If only, I wasn't afraid I'd keep all 3. Blush

It sounds like Stella will work better for me. I'm going to make sure the item I want most is the one that's discounted. Wink

Thanks for the help. I know you're right. There's already more that I want. laugh out loud It's all nerdi's fault. She shouldn't have made me want that dress in the black & white print. Bonk

i'll link them for you:
i bought this one [target.com].
i also want to get this one [target.com] but my store didn't have it.

the fabric one comes in D cup. i'm not sure about the silicone one. it goes S=A, M=B, L=C, XL=D (when you add it to cart it shows you the cup size).

thanks a lot kurpee. now i have ordered your asymmetric top. it comes in snake print too, with a black back. i might like that one more - i haven't decided yet.

That's a great price for a dress you really like. I think I paid $38.93 for the 2 dresses I already ordered. That's not bad. I'm thinking I may wear dresses more now that I'll have more variety. I've only ever bought church appropriate dresses, & didn't really want to wear them out to dinner. It sounds like the jeans are about the same at VS & Express. I have to order a larger size in tops & dresses at VS.

I doubt I would wear those to the beach. I bought a few VS dresses for that. I would wear them out to dinner. They may be the only strapless dress I ever buy. I usually don't like them. I do like to dress sexy for my DH on occasion, when we're out alone. To me, these dresses a perfect mix of sexy & comfy. I'm hoping I'll still love them, when I actually wear them awhile. laugh out loud I'm seriously considering buying the print, then deciding on what to keep when they all get here. It's all your fault. Bonk

My 2 trips to Express this month were only the 3rd time I've been to the mall this year. Blush I'm going to try a 2 in the jeans. My DH can return/exchange, if they don't work. I'm a bit concerned the faded look will be too young for me. I'll see what they look like, when they arrive. It would be nice, if they had some dark washes that weren't faded.

Coverlaugh I've been on a dresses kick too. In the last month from VS- the knot strap dress, from Express- the stripe draped dress, ruched knit in 3 colors, the mesh blue one and 3 from TJ maxx Stick Out Tongue Ooopsies! That said- I really try for no duplicates as well from a usage standpoint meaning; if the occasion is right to wear that style/fabric of dress, then you instantly have 2 or 3 other dresses competing to be used for the same event, be it dinner or what not. So each dress would get worn maybe 1x per year, if that. Knowing that- which color/pattern do you gravitate to the most? If you could only wear one, which would it be? It may be a little telling that I love that dress too, but I haven't purchased it yet because of the strapless issue. I bought 4 of the same dress from Macy's a while back and I think each gets worn 1-2x/ year. They collect dust on the hanger because I always try to select a non-strapless dress first.
ETA- I have been putting this into practice ~ I bought dress dupes in blue and green from TJ Maxx and just returned one of them yesterday. It was difficult, but necessary. nod

Iagree could not have worded it better myself! The lining makes me think it will be schwetty. Wolfie's got a pretty good rule too, the print does make it suitable for different settings/moods.
