Your problem is that you are using a cable company supplied DVR, I am using a standalone Philips/Magnavox DVR connected to an antenna and can record something like 80 hours of whatever I want on it.
no, my problem is that AT&T U-Verse isn't available in my area Mad

Interesting to see a team take a 2 hour penalty for not completing a task and not getting eliminated as a first time ever as well.
I heard Phil say that last night and I think he's wrong to a point.

The first time Boston Rob went on TAR there was a Roadblock eating challenge (the last time they did one IIRC) where he realized that there was no way he was going to complete it - so he just stood up and quit in the middle of the Roadblock and took the penalty and spent the next 30 minutes of the penalty convincing 2-3 other teams to do the exact same thing; and at least one guy followed suit. As a result, he guaranteed another team would be behind him and he was not eliminated.

I could be wrong, but I pretty distinctly remember the whole sequence of events - it was some meat eating challenge in South America with all kinds of beef and sausages, etc. And, I remember Phil congratulating him on the strategy and Rob crowing about how he was able to manipulate people.

I thought there was another instance of a team taking the penalty and still making the cut but I couldn't remember.

I guess Phil forgot about that meat eating challenge (which I think was in Argentina).

I'm pretty sure the achievement was for being the first team to make it through an entire leg and take a 2 hr penalty without completing ANY challenges (since they used the Express Pass on the first, and ran out of bottles on the 2nd)...

I was hoping that Rachel really would quit.

I'm a bit behind on my DVR watching, but I just saw the one where the team made the fire instead of making the solar array and I like it that they were able to beat everybody else by doing that.

Has she never seen this show before??? And where is the CBS producer who thought it'd be a great idea to cast them and piss off every viewer? S/He needs a beatdown in the worst possible way, or to be on Brenchel's camera crew for a few legs...

The Army pilot was in full asshat mode last night too about the FastForward, but his delivery was completely worth it, or was I the only one laughing my ass off at his commentary: "Land a helicopter... hm, me being a helicopter pilot, I seem to be fairly well equipped to do that..."

As soon as I saw Rachel I deleted the show and deleted the season from my DVR. No Cannot stand her and don't understand why she not only did BB twice but also is on The Amazing Race. She is super annoying. Ranting
I don't watch BB and never thought annoying ppl were fun to watch on TAR. I like ppl who work hard til the end. Shit shut the F Up already and quit and go back home and don't get married. Drama Biotch needs to go home ASAP! BTW how does she handle issues at her Event Hostess job? "OMG don't yell at me at this party Or else I won't let this party continue, everybody go home."
Shame on TAR producers for bring such a lame contestant whodoesn't realize how lucky she is to be on the show. Why didn't she just use her own money to travel for free around the world without annoying the viewers.

I nearly fell out of my seat laughing when someone called Rachel "Shamrock from Rainbow Brite"
Speaking of the Big Brother alumns, when is CBS going to understand that viewers really don't want to see reality contestants going on multiple shows, especially if they've won?!
As for favorites, the Combat pilot & wife, the twins, and the Border Patrol agents seem to have the right mix to make it far, though the FBI chicks could take it all the way if there isn't an eating or stength challenge.
I just want the guido's to go already and the clowns seem particularly clueless, but to introduce yourself to the audience by admitting that you stalked your husband while he was married is truly a new level of creepy.
CBS is adding drama via annoying ppl to drum up ratings and it sucks.

Haven't been watching because I cannot watch her but it sounds like she is the same old Rachel. On BB all she talked about was her love for Brandon, she's "Vegas," it's so hard being here, blah blah blah ..... by the end of the show nobody liked her the first season of BB. I didn't watch her second season of BB. But she was one of the most hated on the show. Cannot stand her whining voice! Bonk
