And for the record, I have no idea which soup is better, as I haven't had either.
It was 105 here yesterday. The thunder storms knocked out power the night before last. i drove around until 2am looking for a place with free wifi so i could test complete this stupid project I've been on 3 months. I was literally hitting the enter key over and over to be done with it, and then my stupid vpn box popped up to say the connection had been lost. So we had no power until noon yesterday.
Then we had another thunder storm last night that knocked power out at 7pm. I got a tornado warning on my phone so the bride and i loaded up the kids and drove west for an hour and half. We got back around 11, and the kids were miserable. DW is miserable now. The well pump is out of water so now we are on backup water, and it doesn't look like we'll have power for at least a week.
I'm thinking about sending DW and the kids to Atlanta for the week.
Hopefully I'll have that transfer switch hooked up in a few days to make life much more simple here in Chewy Country.
This week should be good though. I hope to get a lot done around the house while they are gone.
1, Finish the transfer switch.
2. Vacuum the pool
3. Replace all of the screens on the upstairs windows.
4. Watch as much of the Bond marathon on Starz as possible.
5. Week the garden and start getting ready for fall planting.
6. Mark off the property so the timber company knows the boundaries for when they come harvest my trees.
7. Fix stuff from the storm damage....
You know.....that ole chestnut.
What's everybody up to this week with the 4th and all? My dad likes to take DS1 to Johnson Ferry Baptist Church [johnsonferry.org] for their 4th of July music and ice cream sundae party. He's always been good at creating traditions you can take with you the rest of your life. Plus.....who doesn't love ice cream and the national anthem with a bunch of rich white people?
