Comcast double play for $79.99 - existing customers for 12 months

Looks like you can get almost all the new customer deals even if you are an existing customer. Not by phone, but via chat.
I was paying a lottt for digital preferred + performance internet, chat with an online agent and they gave me the new customer rate for the next 12 months! Big Grin

Hope it helps!look around

Clicking the "Existing Customers" button on the right sends you to a page that eliminates the 12-month "term".

Also, I just signed up for the existing-customer plan (Blast Plus DP = Blast Plus + Digital Economy TV) and the many operators I had to deal with (man Comcast is incompetent) all confirmed that there is no contract or term limit to this price... this is the "regular" price for this service, apparently.

Directly goto their customer service and 'chat' with a billing question.

I know that new Comcast customers are eligible (through a Comcast direct sales representative) for a Double Play with Blast Internet and unlimited use phone for approximately $66.00 a month in lots of locations. Hadn't heard about existing customers. Thanks for the post.

How do I go to chat with someone? Also did you just mention that you are an existing customer and wanted to pay this price?

Not that I've seen. I will tell you this, the Internet through DSL (which is what a number of companies still offer) is lousy most of the time. If your going to switch, that alone is worth any extra dollars you might pay.

for existing customers - for 79.99, one can get only digital economy tv, not digital preferred tv..

I just call 1-800-COMCAST and go to the "remove services" section. You are connected to customer retention. I tell them I'm going to sign up with ATT since DSL is cheaper. They offer me double play starter for 6 months at $69.99 for 6 months. When the promo is up I call again.

Are you saying the internet service with comcast is less than stellar? I was thinking about switching from direct tv to comcast to get the triple play.

It may depend on the area. In WV, our speeds are dropped below what I got with DSL during peak hours. I'd ask friends/neighbors how their service is first.

i've been on "double play" for almost 4 years at $39.99... this is hardly a deal for anyone who knows how to negotiate.

$79.99 isn't nearly the true price though. Taxes, surcharges, and fees add another $15.23 here. Of course you will want an HD box for $10, and a modem for $7, unless you buy your own. Add another $34.99 to activate, and more money for every TV.

FYI if you want On Demand it's not included in this Digital Economy bundle.

Big TD. This is regular price. I currently pay $40 per month for this on a 6 month special offer.
