I hopped onto this offer back in November when they had this promotion and got instantly approved. Prior to that, I had no credit history as this was my first credit card. I have to say, it's been well worth it for the 1-5% cashback rewards. Spending $500 to get the $300 though was a whole lot easier than I thought...

We just did a $400 cashback wys $5000 in 3 months on Chase Ink. It was a business, not sure how strict they are on that part. Got the $40 with no issues. Obviously this is only good if you can easily spend 5k. Cashback is 1, 2, 5% categories - 5% is cable, internet, telecom bills and office products. 2% is dining and gas.

If anyone wants lmk I will look up the link.

It is a NO Fee card so it probably isn't as strict as Annual Fee cards like Sapphire Preferred.

It is usually just another factor to be considered and Chase Freedom card does not have a strict income requirement. YMMV.

Hmm...no mention of an instant approval. They just told me I'll receive some stuff in the mail, and gave me a number to call in a few days to check on the status.

Normal operating procedure for people who do not get instant approval.

You can wait it out 1-2 days and than call the app status line to see if you were approved. (800) 436-7927

If you need to call reconsideration to swap around some Credit Lines or even Credit Cards you can call (800) 245-0625

I applied for this card on 3/31/12 but they had the $100 promotion. Contacted the 1800 number and was informed I needed a promotion code in order for them to apply the new promotion. Can anybody please help me or tell me what can I do to get the $200 promotion?
