If you did sign up for a lower amount ($100, $200, etc.), it is incredibly easy to get the full $300. I did this twice when I signed up for the $100 amount, only to find $200 and $300 deals on SD within 30 days of opening an account.

Just give them the promotional codes and they say they will make the courtesy adjustment ("just this once") Wink

Since your application obviously falls within the 90 day window you can call them back and send them to the $200 website. The $200 offer is a public offer and can be found here [chase.com].

You might have better luck taking a screenshot and sending a secure message to chase about getting bumped.

CSR over the phone can be hit or miss. If you don't like the answer the first CSR gives you just hang up and call again. Keep trying to they answer you correctly.

I typically advise people to wait 35 days between Chase Applications if they want to be aggressive, 65 days to be patient or 95 days to be conservative.

If you have excellent credit and a CL that you can move around or other Chase cards to close in case you need to call reconsideration line. You are set up well.

You can always apply for $200 offer and send screenshot of $300 offer by secure message. It is worth a try.

I am ssuming you have to have pretty good credit to apply for this? My ex is currently ruining my credit so not sure if I should even apply.

If your credit is great and you can pay off the balance in full every month it is something to consider.

But if you have somebody haunting your credit score you may want to limit the damage they can do until they are completely cut off.

Based on creditboards I see a range of 650+ being approved for the card in NY state.

YMMV.
