The $350 bonus cash back offer is legit. I received my card, called to activate it and the woman brought up the $350 bonus offer without me asking about it. The bonus will be available 6 to 8 weeks after qualifying.
There was no mention of the $350 bonus in the mail information and actual credit card letter.

I signed up for the chase freedom card under the 350 cash back after spending 500... Got the card in today. Is there a way to check that will get the 350 cash back after spending 500 before i go out and spend 500?

possibly through chase online? or will i have to call customer service?

When I called the rep (yesterday) they brought it up before I even could ask. So when you activate it, they should mention it to you.

I just called to upgrade my $300 to the $350 and the CSR said that the $350 was not a valid offer and they pulled it from the website after a couple of hours.

I got $300 back on $500 spent.

Not quite sure of the fine details, but I'm looking forward to the $300 in rewards

1. Don't forget to sign up for the quarterly 5% bonus categories
2. Once you do #1 make sure to take full advantage of it. For example, use the card at grocery stores this quarter, then whenever you gas up, etc.
3. Yes, any purchase applies towards the $500 so spend away! Chase will credit your account with $350 worth of points that you can cash out or use towards gift cards

Just to elaborate on #2 from shuhbonkhboo, the 5% for April to June is grocery stores and movie theaters. Gas was last quarter and will be next quarter.
