ON TOP of the phone itself ? I don't think so.
What is it? Social status? My friend has one so I NEED one?
I'll take my dumb phone and laptop any day.

A summary from last time:

I think you're just so intent on going against the grain (even though it's illogical, cumbersome, less convenient, and provides no actual benefit to you) so you can delude yourself into feeling "unique" and "special."
In fact, you're so hellbent on going against anything with any sort of mass popularity so you can be "different" that you actually make yourself believe that the crap you have is somehow "better." And the funniest part about that is that it makes you so angry, you have to lash out at anyone that uses the devices that you hate so much. Which in turn makes you look like a complete idiot to everyone else because of your gigantic delusions, and then you become a social pariah. Well... bravo, buddy. You certainly set yourself apart from the crowd.

Of course not! But don't you see people frivolously throwing away their money every day just the same? If you are smart you will buy stocks in the companies that are raking in the money off these suckers that are addicted to their phones.

I still prefer the concept of an answering machine so nobody can track me down wherever I go.
I can understand the appeal for some but it just isn't something that fits into my life. I'm sure I can afford any phone and typical data plan out there but there still has to be some value in it for me and right now it just isn't there.
If it eventually gets to the point where I can get good online access at work I will probably reconsider.
Speaking of family plans with all around smartphones...
Now we are talking over 2K per year!
I don't think I would "'enjoy" surfing the net and looking at Slickdeals on a small 4"screen and pay $30 per month DATA to do that.
Adds NO VALUE to what I can already do. Amazing how phone companies get away with this.
