New car shopping :whee:

There is at most a 50/50 chance we'll buy something this year, but we hadn't driven any new cars in almost five years so we thought we'd check some out.
Wife drives an '08 VW Eos - that's the car we would replace. Shockingly, it has been a very reliable car, and has only 36k miles on it. So we're in no hurry to sell it. But we decided to drive a couple of cars today, just for kicks: an Infiniti G37 and a Lexus IS350 and IS250. As expected the Lexus was a bit more sedate, but more fun than to drive than expected. Wife prefers the IS350 to the G37...
We would most likely buy a late model used, around a '10 model. I love my '06 TL and so does my wife, so we would also drive an Acura before making any decision (though we're not driving the new butt-ugly TL - it would be a TSX, or even the new ILX if we bought new).
What other comparable cars should we try?

We can't have exhausted the animal names yet. Those are way cool! Like Mustang and Sting Ray and Impala and Ram and Bronco and Cougar and Jaguar, etc.
What's wrong with those?! What about Lion? Or Tiger? Or Wildebeest? Or Giraffe? I don't think those are taken yet. Just SOMETHING other than just numbers.
And yeah...the letters/numbers are boring IMO.
/biased answer
Naked mole rat?
Butterfly?

I'm looking at a couple of 09-11 convertibles (G37 and IS350)
Since she has a convertible now, I think she should consider one of the above - price would be in the $35k-$40k range, about what the sedan versions are new. Convertible adds something like $12k to the IS350.
Her Eos was only $31k out the door in late '07.

I miss the days when auto designs were unique. Today when one company hits on a style that is popular pretty soon every car on the road looks just like it with a few little tweaks here and there.

How about Panda? People freakin' love Pandas. Butterflies would be good, too.
