Why won't my farking points credit, it's been over a week?
If you are having trouble getting certain offers to credit, (most of us do) you can email IPS [email protected]
I just cashed out for an IPOD, does it really take a long agonizing 4-6 weeks?
Well, NO, most of us have received our IPODS within 1-2 weeks and sometimes sooner!
I didn't get a confirmation email/shipping email, will I still get my iPod?
YES, you will. I sometimes don't get either email and still get the iPod days later
If you win a shuffle from the daily drawing, you'll receive it approximately 3 weeks after you get the notification. This assumes the following: it takes about 4-5 business days from the time you get the notification and IPS getting your documents by mail, they take about 1 week to process your win (from my experience), UPS takes one week to ship. They will not automatically send you a tracking number. You can not substitute the win for 1000 pod points (many people have tried and have been denied).

--First of all I suggest you use another email address other than your personal one (hotmail seems to work best) because you will receive a lot of spam in your inbox when you sign up for all these different offers.
--Don't use your real phone number. I got a free online voice mail from http://k7.net/ It will send you an email when you have a voice message, although, I never bothered to listen to them.
--If an offer says you receive a certain amount of points for entering your zip code, that's all you have to do. You can close everything else out (you'll get pop ups.) Same goes for the email address offers.
--I didn't do any offers that required a CC# for a free trial but a friend did (I always forget to cancel the darn things.) She got enough points for a Nano in about 10 days with the free trial offers. I got enough points for a Shuffle in 5 days sticking to just the totally free, no CC# required offers.
--I didn't do any of the free ring tone offers because most tend to charge you through your cell phone carrier. I didn't want to chance being nailed with a fee of $9.99 on my cell bill so I didn't do any of those.
--Make sure you check the email address you used to sign up for your account and the offers (use the same one) because some of the offers require you to confirm through the email they sent. It won't take long before you'll be able to tell what junk mail is and what requires you to confirm.
--I suggest keeping track of all the offers you have completed. That way, if for some reason you don't receive credit, you can contact iPodsweepstakes with the date you completed the offer. They have outstanding customer service and will happily credit you for the offers you didn't receive credit for.
--Don't waste your time emailing them with a question. If you have a problem, question, or concern call them. They don't respond to emails in a very timely manner, but like I said, their phone customer service is incredible.
--Offers usually credit in 5-7 days, some sooner, and some longer.
--Click each link every night to get the max amount of entries into the nightly drawing. You can click the link and close the window before it even pulls the page up. You just have to have clicked the link to receive the credit.

Well heres to hoping its a touchscreen/widescreen ipod.. that way I dont have to hack an iphone to do what I want it to.
I'm debating ordering the current nanos, which I like, or waiting until after the keynote, and maybe getting stuck with the rumored new nanos, which look hideous.
It's a tough call... maybe I can still order a current nano day of the keynote if I hate the new ones that much.

right there is gizmodo's mockup, if you read a little bit about it, apple's lawyers told them to take it down, ergo, it seems they figured out the look of the new nanos

Also, if you read carefully, that image is made based upon spy shots taken with a camera at some event. I saw those photos before they went down, that device is at least a prototype.
And yes, even apple makes huge mistakes. the new imacs are crap, and the first generation shuffle was a huge mistake (at least how I see it it was.)
I think that is how the new nano will look, but I'm not convinced what we'll see next week won't just be a new ipod video, and they might hold new nanos for later.
Then again, the time is ripe for a full ipod line refresh, giving all 3 ipods a new look, we'll have to see.
Hmn, if the 4 GB colored nanos are now the oldies, do you think IPS will start offering us them? I would be happy. Will keep my eyes peeled for sales, too. We have 2 iPod-wanters in my house.
On the bright side, 4 of the 6 offers I did yesterday credited. But I'm with the poster upthread who said s/he's worked pretty hard for points. So many of those e-mail and zip things just. don't. credit.
