Contest starts June 19, 2012 at 12:01 AM PT and ends July 27, 2012 at 11:59:59 PM PT.
Limit 10 submissions per entrant.
Open only to legal residents of the 50 U.S., D.C. and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are, at the time of entry, 18 years of age or older.
submit your entry (including name, email address, coffee drink inspiration story, proposed coffee recipe, and a photograph of your entry)(" Submission"). Your Online Submission must include a recipe for your proposed coffee drink, which must use Seattle's Best Coffee (Level 1, 2, 3 (regular or decaf), 4, 5, vanilla or hazelnut) and your choice of edible, non-alcoholic ingredients.
Each Coffee Drink Recipe and Inspiration Story portion of the Submission must not exceed 250 words in length, in English and include measurements for all recipe ingredients.
(i) use of Seattle's Best Coffee in coffee drink recipe (25%); (ii) written presentation of coffee drink inspiration story (25%); appetite appeal of drink recipe; and (iii) uniqueness of coffee drink recipe and coffee drink inspiration story (25%).

FINALIST PRIZE (1):
One (1) Finalist will receive a New York Travel Package worth $3,400 as described below. The New York Travel Package includes: (i) round-trip airfare for two (2) travelers, the Finalist and his/her Travel Companion, from the major metropolitan airport nearest the Finalist's home to the New York City metropolitan area to participate in the "Final Round Live Competition" where the Finalist will compete against five (5) other Finalists from the Red Cup Showdown State Fair Rounds Contest; (ii) one (1) round-trip ground transfer between the airport and the hotel in New York, New York; (iii) two (2) nights' accommodations in a hotel in New York City, New York to be selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion; and (iv) one (1) round-trip ground transfer between the hotel and the location of the Final Round Live Competition in New York City, New York; and (v) an USD $800 total allowance, awarded as a check made payable to the Finalist. In addition to the New York Travel Package, the Finalist will receive USD $500, awarded as a check made payable to the Finalist, and a year's supply of Seattle's Best Coffee (awarded as 12 ounces per week, mailed to the Finalist's home monthly). If the Finalist is a Canadian winner, checks will be issues in US Funds. ARV of the Finalist Prize: USD $4,400/ CAD $4,514.56.
The Grand Prize of the Finals Competition will be a check in the amount of USD $10,000 / CAD $10,247.15 made payable to the Grand Prize Winner in US Funds. Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") of Grand Prize: USD $10,000 / CAD $10,247.15.
