I've gotten down to 165 twice on lowcarb, but that's as far as I've ever taken it. At that weight my waist is under 27", which is good for the V-taper look, but lowcarb does make all your muscles look little by draining their glycogen stores, so that's a definite drawback..
Yeah no. No low carb for me. I did do a diet once where I just said NO BREAD. That cuts out a lot of fast food, and I lost a lot of weight because it forced me to shop for better foods and make more at home.

I got down to a 32" waist when I started running 10 miles a day, but the crappy part was that I had to go get all of my suit altered. Not the jacket....just the pants. laugh out loud

But I've got a completely different build than you do. I could never get down to a 27" waist. My pelvis sticks out at 30".

I'm up for it. I don't have a lot of body hair to begin with--I get something like 2-3 hairs per square inch on my thighs and hardly anything from my knees on down. From a distance it looks like I don't have any, but up close it's a bit silly looking.

I shaved pretty much everything except the top of my head for one role--at which point I got covered in red body paint. (Red always seems to take so much longer to get off than any other color.) Coconut oil would probably be more comfortable (I'm guessing--no personal experience to base this on). Getting airbrushed is actually a little chilly, especially when you're wearing next to nothing and it's 50 degrees in the room. Cold

It's not the easiest diet in the world to do; I think it's worthwhile for me to do it every two years or so--training carb-free is kind of like training at altitude with concrete blocks strapped to your feet, so I figure that pushing yourself physically anyway gets your body to make some adaptations that it might not otherwise do.

I'd have no problem doing that--but I'd see that as a tiny price to pay for progress.

Though I've had some bad luck with tailors in the past. Trying to convince them that they need to take in the waist, but not some of the other parts, doesn't always work. Only once had one of the thighs of a suit burst open while I was in a meeting. It wasn't the kind of meeting where people really needed to know that I have super-sparse leg hair. Blush

I have a *lot* of clothes. Two good-sized walk-in closets and cupboards and boxes and other places where I've stuffed them. And probably nothing that's currently "fashionable" in the bunch.

It's come in handy, though--there was a movie a while back that had Richard Moll ("Bull" the bailiff from Night Court) in it and the scheduling got messed up a bit so there wasn't time to get him fitted--but I looked at his measurements and, apart from the waistline, we took exactly the same size clothes. Turned out one of my suits that I hadn't had taken in yet fit him perfectly (as did my shirts, etc.), so he was happy. Happy enough that he asked if he could keep them--so now Richard Moll is back in LA, wearing my hand-me-downs.

John Larroquette played such a sleaze lawyer. He was perfect in that role.
