I know there's a lot of work involved in doing it, but those who are control freaks (like wiley's friend) won't mind b/c they'll have things done their way.

Our HOA is largely inactive. Monthly e-mails (crime reports), annual block parties, and a few other things. But not much else. When stuff happens like last week's storm that blows down lots of fences, members e-mail each other for advice and you get the parade of reply-alls. EEK!
