My dad was 36 when I was born, so my parents were in their 40's for most of my growing up years and they always acted very youthful so I've never thought 40 or 50 was old, so if you're below that you're young.
My kid will be starting college when I'm that age Turtle

Big Grin Couldn't help myself! I do it all in good fun. Promise

I pumped gas near the highway this morning and it was $3.69. The Sams by my job has gas at $3.43! I should have waited. Ermm Too bad my Sams card expired. I'll probably end up getting a Costco membership instead.
Yeah I know. I like to come to the lounge because 98% of the people don't take things too seriously. I have to check and double check my grammar and punctuation all day long with work in order to maintain my existence in a professional environment. When the true grammar nazis (not you) come out in the lounge, I just think "WTF is wrong with you? Is this your job to troll the lounge for spelling and grammar errors. Half the stuff I post is done with a voice to text app, and I don't care if it takes every word down correctly as long as I get the comment or point across."

Then I think, "Way to go, jackass. You just took things too seriously." Then I punch myself in the face.

On July 3rd, I was refueling my 5 gallon fuel containers for my generator at Sams for $3.02. Today at Sams the price is $3.72. It's a shame fuel and food costs aren't figured in to the inflation index.

Soooo, what I'm hearing is that I need to pick on your spelling and grammar more often.

After they pass 5 you just want to get them out of the house and start over.

I read the youngest one bedtime stories every night up until the age of six.

Nah, I'm quite satisfied with two of them. I figure we'll have grandkids soon enough. I think I like 6-11 better than 0-5. But it is also handy to be able to send one of them to the store.

We write pretty much everything on the white board that they have a question about. Just yesterday, DS3 (just turned 3) had a question. I was outside showing the loggers the property line, and when I came in my jeans were soaked from the long grass and the dew all over it.

Backstory: his nickname is "The Dude". So every day when I come home or anytime I see him, I say, "Hey Dude!" and he says, "Poppie!!!"

So I came in from outside with my pants wet, and he asked why they were wet....to which I answered, "it's from the dew outside." He got all upset and started crying saying he wasn't outside and he didn't make peepees on my pants. The poor dude thought I was accusing him (being The Dude) of peeing on my pants.

So I took him over to the white board and wrote "dude" and "dew", and then I drew a picture of him (not Lebowski) on the board, and I drew a picture of grass with water drops on it. They LOVE having things written on the board, spelling them out, and placing them with pictures.

They also watch Signing Time so that they can sign all of the words they speak. DW limits their tv and reads to them a lot. And they like seeing DS1 do his school work and learn on the board. So they can have TV time, but if you want to keep them interested in learning, they need to have the majority of their time with stimulus so that they enjoy learning.

6 - 11 has been tough with sports and everything. Just one of them doing it takes up 3 nights and one weekend day a week. I can't imagine when the 3 littles are doing it.
