Time...Most treatments involve numbing the area so you just don't feel the pain, but there isn't much you can do. I hate numbing agents in my mouth because it ends up everywhere and then my whole mouth is numb...so annoying!

I've heard holding raisens on the spots help but I haven't had enough time to experiment with that...
