How did you land a job like that and with what type of degree? Also, the money to buy my gadgets is in a sense not mine, it's the gov'ts they loaned it to me. 2yrs in and I owe them about $15K.
I was almost done with my degree in teaching, but after my first year I realized how much it sucked -- not because of the kids -- but because of the staff. So I went back and got my information systems degree. It's just a generic degree that says I know how to project plan, and I know how to program. But I don't get raises and promotions because of my degree; it's because I put in 60 to 80 hours a week to do my best to out-produce my peers.

You could have put what bill you had under there, be it a $5 or 10 and make the kid a happy camper.
She's still totally happy to get a dollar Wink2

Ok, I don't want to give any spoilers.. but damn was Ozy fast..
I get your bigger point.. It was more about normal people (even though the Comedian was more of a "rambo" type guy, he didn't have powers per se).
And you're right, that did make the story more compelling.
That's one reason I liked the book better. .It filled in the human part better. I also liked how the book ended with some hope (as opposed to the movie).. Yea, the book ending was a little cheesy, but it was nice to see those two characters have a happy ending.

Were you disappointed the movie didn't have the Pirate story subplot? laugh out loud At first in the book, I was like WTF.. but then at the end, you could see the symbolism by it.
They did make the pirate bit into a separate animated feature, and there's an Ultimate edition that has it weaved back into the movie... but then you've got to plan to set aside four hours to watch it laugh out loud
But yeah, the undercurrents of that story (and the various book excerpts/etc at the end of each issue) added a lot to it as a whole.

if the bed is shaking/moving (i guess you can call it rattling), then you're doing something.

but if you're making the glass panes in the windows rattle, then you're doing something. Evillaugh
What if your upstairs neighbors see you in the hallway and tell you they appreciate the enthusiasm, but they have a sleeping child?

I still don't know what I want to do. I just got lucky enough to be at the right company at the right time to get me on this career path, don't seem to be a lot of folk that have gotten this far with no college.

My mom's situation was kinda funny, she did get a degree in drafting in the 80s, but got into the same field I'm in after she got out of the military. Company helped pay for her to get some sort of computery degree (I forget which sort), and as soon as she got it, she automatically got a raise.
