the charges were blown way out of proportion by the DA because of who is father is (as far as i'm concerned anyways) and it just screamed "let's make an example out of him".

the jury's decision (of the much much lesser charge) was correct IMO. i knew he wouldn't be acquitted if the jury was at all competent. i knew this was coming, but i fell for him anyways. now we get to find out if our feelings were real, or if they were just a product of our own life situations somehow drawing us to another person who could provide comfort, etc. only time will tell. but i'm not ready to let go just yet.

he's still in processing, which is complete bullshit but i guess that's how fast (aka SLOW AS MOLASSES) the prison system moves in this state. he'll spend another week or two at the intake prison, then they'll send him to his "home" - which he won't know until he gets there, as a safety precaution.

if my visitor's form has been processed and accepted (i'm calling tmrw morning) then i should be able to visit him Sunday before i go to the beach. but i'm not holding my breath.

the two most probable options of "home" for him are roughly an hour's drive from where i live.

Some people I know caught federal corruption charges and got placed in different states
