nope, not federal, he'll be close to home. i've written him, we've talked several times on the phone, but i have absolutely no idea wtf i'm doing, or why i'm even considering the kinds of things that i'm considering.

you don't fall in love with someone that fast, and you certainly don't stick by them during this kind of thing when you've known them for as short a time as i have. i feel like an idiot above anything else by just typing this shit out. seriously.

no, we met through a mutual friend before his trial even started. within a few days, i guess he realized this was turning into something more than he expected, and he told me the whole story. he didn't expect me to wanna see him again, but i did because we had a connection that i couldn't explain, and i refuse to judge someone based on things that they've done in life or things that have happened to them. i gave him the benefit of the doubt, i wanted to be his friend. so that's what i did. but it didn't take long for us both to realize we were drawn to each other in ways we'd never experienced, and as much as we both knew it was the wrong path to choose - we chose it anyways.

let me clarify, he was not in jail/prison when we met and when we got to know each other.

I don't think I could get through those books. She's the only writer that I know who actually got worse over time. (Well, except for J. K. Rowling, but I blame her editor for not keeping her in check.) I can't imagine that her erotic books would change my mind of that.
