that's cuz it's not for legit sale here....for a reason
1) claiming you can get the same from plants may be true ( we still don't really understand how food works) but it doesn't address that making sure an animal doesn't suffer when you kill is humane. You may try to twist and say that killing itself is inhumane but we are animals and animals kill each other. Our ability to reason doesn't make us different
2) we have no GOOD reason to have the laws. There is no difference between eating a horse and a cow

Noni is really an acquired taste- they said the native Hawaiians would only eat it during times of famine in order to preserve it due to the medicinal properties- I bet they didn't like the taste either

We don't NEED to cook it. Part of the problem is we don't eat freshly killed meat allowing microbial growth. Cooking kills microbes. We do have canines but our reliance on tools has caused them to shrink, their shrinkage hasn't caused us to rely on tools
Ultimately this comes down to a question of morality and nothing more. Because morally I am ok with eating meat and you are not we will never be able to agree. Furthermore it's not fair for anyone to impose their morality onto another so we won't move anywhere
