So when does it start dropping for women?

For most of the non-shallow woman out there, I would say that looks matter less for women than for men. That's because (at least this is how most of my friends and I feel) we're attracted to personality.

If you're ok looking, but fun and interesting and make her feel awesome about herself and about you, then your good features become more prominent and you become more and more attrictive to her in her eyes. If you're the hottest guy around and a huge jerk/douche then she's gonna start noticing all of the bad features and you'll become much uglier.

It's not a show about drinking. It's a history show about cultural activities and legal obstacles that shaped our history.

The instant she stops seeing you as a challenge. Well, that's a bit of an exaggeration: in some cases she might not completely lose interest for another twenty or thirty minutes.

The particular moment depends on the woman in question. Whether that's the moment you say you love her or when the two of you decide to be "officially" something (boyfriend/girlfriend, dating, whatever), that's when the big "game over" sign lights up in her eyes and it's time to move on.



That's what I hear a lot--though even the women who "aren't too picky" about looks are pretty picky about what 'type' they're interested in, and often have specifications that rival the IEEE in specificity and thoroughness.

As long as he's thus-and-such physical type, is hot, has a thick full head of hair, tall, no visible bodyfat, has a really good-looking face, has long legs, and is really hot, they're not too picky. At least if he's hot, anyway.



I'm sure that happens sometimes--but it happens the other way around a lot, too. I've known women who would get involved with a few guys in a row who were nice and made them feel good about themselves...and they'd keep looking around and jumping from one guy to the next...until they ended up with someone who made her feel bad about herself, and that's the guy she'd stick with for years.

It makes sense in a perverse way--when they were feeling good about themselves, they felt like they had options and felt free to take them. But as long as a guy made her feel like crap, she'd feel like nobody else would want her either, and so she'd stay put.

What I love about "working" from home is, I can do something productive with my time, instead of sitting in a cubicle doing the Jumble, the daily crossword puzzle, and playing Spider Solitaire. This morning, I repaired the amplifier I bought from eBay last week. It arrived two days ago and I unpacked it. Yesterday I cut up and recycled the box and packing materials. This morning, I tested it to identify the bad channel, then I unsoldered all the connections from that bad channel. I replaced the bad circuit board with a good board I kept from the last amplifier I rebuilt over the Labor Day weekend. After soldering it into the amplifier, it plays wonderfully. Now I have a backup should any of my other amps fail anytime. Or, I could sell it on eBay for twice what I paid for it.

You sound like my dad. He acutally use to have a business where he fixed amps. His business cards called him "The Amp Doctor."

We really need to get together someday! I think it would be soooo much fun!

Yeah, I've seen that a lot. I just know that most of the girls I'm around aren't like that. When someone makes them feel good, they want to keep them! At least what I was saying was how I feel about guys.

Yeah, I have a type that's tallish, scrawny and awkward looking usually. But usually those guys are lots of fun and very intellegent. That may just be because I hang out with a lot of computer geeks
