Better opportunities, my parents were born in the 50's, during that era it was very tough for Chinese people, so when my dad got the chance to come to the States he took it the first chance he got.

IDK, I was under 18 at the time, so I got it. I have had it for over 10 yrs. now.

Damn....that hog head is cooking more quickly than I thought. Is anyone good with smoking meats? This is only the first time I've done it. The temperature is hovering around 200. I'm certain that part of it is still frozen on the inside though.

Also, can I still eat the brain if it was shot with a 22 through the head? The slug is probably still inside.

The meat on the head is rather thin (comparatively) and the bone conducts heat. As for the .22 slug, just cut around it and don't worry too much. I'd worry more about the whole thing being cooked through, honestly. Probably should have let it thaw completely before putting it in the smoker.

One word: Greed, because the CA college system sees the potential in earning money, they will take many international students who are in similar situations because their families have money. It is happening at all the UCs not just USF. You should see some of the international kids here, their parents are loaded with cash, I know a few as well, one of my friend's parents own some chemical factories overseas, another's own a jewelery company, and it goes on and on. One of the kids who lived in my old apts. drove around sporting an M3.

I do not find it fair honestly, it is overcrowding the schools, where tuition is increasing $1.5K a yr. as it is, and creates problems like this here.

This is happening all over the US, not just that specific school, only this school got caught, I am sure there are others out there.

The outside of the skull is completely thawed, and that's where most of the eating will be done. Is 200 a safe heat to cook it at over night?

Oh yeah. 200 to 250 overnight is good. So long as the interior gets up to 160, you're okay. Low and slow is the way you want to smoke anything.
