I did better asking out girls at work.
My only real gf in high school (only one that lasted more than 6 dates) .. that was an interesting story.
I acted up in 5th grade.. The teacher moved me up to the front row next to a girl so she could keep an eye on me (Everyone else got to sit next to someone of the same gender). We never talked, because it was 5th grade... She moved to another school the following year.. fast forward 7 years. I see her by chance somewhere... I'm like " Is that you?" and she remembered me from 5th grade.. I figured I'd never see her again, so nothing to lose by aggressively asking her out and it worked.. See that TP? the lesson is basically a guy needs to ask out tons of women.. It took me awhile not to take rejections personally..It's all a numbers game for guys.

But back to your point BQ.. it must kind of suck being a high school girl, since the tradition is to just wait for the dude to ask you out.. I guess times have changed somewhat, but I imagine that's still the case.
I tried to ask guys out...never really worked. Figured it wasn't worth the heartbreak. I hung out with guys a lot though (I was pretty much "one of the guys") and when I got to college I guess I just branched out enough. I've also only wanted to be in a monogomous relationship with a guy if we had been friends for a while and I'd gotten to know him. Otherwise I guess I did things with guys but they were never official dates...I kinda prefer the relaxed hang out over a date...

And once you both kinda decide you like each other to make a go at it then cuddling, making out etc insues and then you discuss if it's monogomous or not...LOL

IDK, I was kinda a tomboy, had broader shoulders than most of the football team because I was a swimmer and a geek. I also kinda stopped trying to be super attractive because it got me nowhere in Jr. High, so I basically just went kinda hippie, wore my dad's old torn up jeans and swim shirts. No one knew I had bewbs until Sr. Year when I got a bunch of awards and was up on the stage a bunch in a tight bouncey shirt.

So it's probably my fault, but by that point I just wanted people to like me for who I am...which they did once I hit college.

I want a girl to ask me out... it would make my life much easier. The hardest part to me, is knowing if a girl is actually interested or just being nice.

And with that, it should be my topic of the day that I would really like advice about.

I loooooved high school. I had tons of fun and didn't give a shit what people thought of me. I had great friends and the time of my life! Jr. High was the awkward-try-really-hard-to-impress phase of my life. Where I was suicidal and all that fun teen junk...got over it after 8th grade and become the awesome person I am today!

College is definitely much better than HS socially, there is always someone that is compatible to an extent to be your friend through just meeting random people or joining clubs, I will PM you later tonight after classes or over the weekend and talk about school stuff, just wanna get through the rest of today's classes first.

I went to 3 different HS's in 2 states and 3 different cities in my 4yrs., so there were good and bad moments.
