What time is it there
Once they get a little older and can understand that if they wake up then they can roll over and go back to sleep, then we'll let them go to bed later.
It doesn't matter what time we put them to bed. They are still up at 6pm. DS1 usually comes down with them. He opens the fridge and they get their milk out and watch Looney Tunes until DW and I get up. Of course when I have to go in to work, I'm gone by the time they get up.

I'm really to the point where I want DWs dog to die. She won't get the blue tick beagle puppy from the egg man if her dog is still alive. This damn dog has been dying for the last five years. There's no way she's gonna kick it in the next 6 weeks.

Yeah I know, but she's completely incontinent at this point, 100% deaf, 75% blind, and pukes 4 or 5 times a day. Think about her quality of life. She's miserable. While I know most people love their animals, I'm more of a "what purpose do they serve" type of person. If they provide companionship and comfort, then that's a purpose. If they hunt or act as a security system or protection, that's a purpose. If they shit and puke all over the floor, can't provide companionship or comfort, can't provide security or protection, then they no longer serve a purpose. And then the "compassionate" side of me looks at how miserable she is, and I want to put her out of her misery. Then we can get a puppy and start this whole cycle over.

She snaps at all of the other animals now as well as DS1. It's only a matter of time before the little ones surprise her and she snaps at them. She's more of a threat to them now than anything.
