i know you try to avoid doctors, and for the most part i do understand that...but if a nurse believes you that you have torn your meniscus, then you most certainly need to stay off of that leg, go straight to a doctor for an x-ray, and if it really is a torn meniscus...prepare yourself for surgery. Down

i know you don't like the sound of that, but there are some things that you can't just put a bandaid on. this falls into the category of a bad knee injury that needs medical attention. Frown

A complete tear would require surgery, but she said that it's likely only a partial. It didn't snap or anything. She did advise me to go to a doc and then laughed. I'm going to ice it for the next week and take it easy. The should injury was likely due to inflammation from working out there last week. I lifted more trees for longer than I should have. I have to get this all done before the implement a burn ban. That will put me 8 months behind schedule.

Chewy I broke my arm once and was like ohhh hell I'm ok. I'll take a nap and some aspirin and it will be fine. A few hours later when I couldn't open a jar of salsa and my arm really hurt, I knew I had to go to the ER. 12 hours later, I was in surgery Faint

I am. A beer has never felt sweeter than tonight. I even made up a small fire right outside the door for DW and I to sit around and chat. We're about to head back out. I love talking to the woman. Girly

aww chewy, i hope everything is OK with your knee and that you don't require surgery...wouldn't it be great if a beer and a conversation around a fire with the person you love was enough to cure anything that ails you? Girly

i sewed special shorts (including KOOLAID JAM PRINT BOARD SHORTS, his fabric choice laugh out loud Rock) easy pull on over the brace/knee/leg thing

Thanks. I'll be fine. I've been through worse. Keep in mind that I'm the same guy who wishes he could leave every summer and go through basic training again.....every summer. I love the soreness. It let's me know I've been working hard.

DW takes care of me like that. She was rubbing oils on my knee and shoulder earlier.

I currently have 3 fire pits that get used regularly and 5 burn pits. I love watching fire after the sun goes down. I need to set up the tent somewhere on the compound and take DS1 camping before it gets too cold.
