It was 37 degrees here this morning. My girls had soccer pictures at 7:20 am and then they soccer game at 8:15. I forgot gloves and I couldn't feel my fingers by the time the game was done.

I did get a flu shot, but only because I was already at the doctor for my annual exam. They also gave me a tetanus shot and I think it also had whooping cough vaccine. I think.I'm good on shots for a long time.

It's a nice chilly, rainy day here at the Chewy compound. This is a good day for me to take it easy and maybe go see the egg man and have a few beers around the fire. Farmer

This morning I made a few dozen biscuits and served them with the thick cut bacon I smoked and bacon gravy. yummy

VF, you would love this gravy. Smoking the pork gave a rich, sweet flavor.

Think of how tight a hole gets when an oversized peg is inserted. That's a friction fit. Friction keeps the peg in the hole. Well, friction, and it just feels darned good.

We had some great thunderstorms move through Charlotte about 7 am this morning. It made for some wonderful sleeping weather. Eggs, biscuits, and gravy with thick cut bacon sounds good. I'll be right over.

One of his friends is a welder in a Honeywell plant, and he cut him a piece of steel pipe that's about 3 feet long and 3 feet across. Once the weather turns colder, he like to sit outside of his man pit (12 by 12 "shack" with central heating and air and a 60" Samsung LED) and keep his fire burning in the pipe section.
