Official word come out today that one of the senior folks in the company is retiring early. My boss will be taking over some of his duties. That means there's a realistic possibility I'll be taking over some of his.
I guess as long as they don't expect me to get a shave and a haircut, meh.

Only if they give you a significant raise should you cut your hair. My dad sold out and cut off his braid (down to his butt) for a significant raise and higher position because he needed to take care of us. But he kept his beard...lol. He's had his beard for at least 32 years...he's not allowed to ever shave it because my mom wouldn't know who he was because she's never seen him without a beard.

I don't know if he'll grow out his hair now that he's retiring at the end of October...I kinda hope he does Smilie

It would have to be a fat farking raise for me to even think about it.

That would be really kick ass. My boss just got promoted to director (company car included), but we were right in the middle of a strategy that I feel will never happen now to revamp the department I'm in and put me as it's manager. I'm sad to say I don't think it will happen now. That's okay. There will be something sooner or later. I'll live vicariously through you for now. Wink
