I did have one of those tape adapters for my portable CD player, but it wasn't worth hassling with for anything other than long trips.

I put a new head unit into my car within months of buying it, just so I could have an AUX jack in front and a USB connection, too. It's been great.

Well my car is a piece of shit that gets me from A to B so I don't put any more money in to it than i have to. 4 to 5 hundred in gas every month is enough.

I want one that takes USB or SD, but I can't justify spending money on it when the existing HU still works (and plays mp3 CDs, naturally).

Meh.....i still can't justify it. I could always just buy more ammo for the money it would cost for a new radio and conversion kit.

You'd use the stereo for two hours a day, what, eight to twenty times a month?
Deals pop up fairly often, you'd probably be out less than sixty bucks for the unit and wiring harness if you kept an eye out. Just saying Wink2
