Bored, watching American Pickers on History Channel. Already filled up the car with gas, got gas for the mower, hit Home Depot for light bulbs and a sanding sponge, hit Rite-Aid for a computer CMOS battery. Replaced the light bulbs on the stove and the front porch; filled, sanded and painted a hole in the bedroom wall, soldered the new CMOS battery into the computer, and cleaned up all my mess. Just waiting for the second hole/spackle to finish curing so I can sand and paint it. The guy who bought my speakers hasn't called yet, so I may give him a call.

What's spinning in your Sunday afternoon?

Wife asked me last night if I was missing watching baseball games.
I told her no, not if the Braves aren't in it.
I almost don't want to watch the Yankees with Jeter out of the lineup. He's not my favorite player, but he kinda IS the Yankees.

I went to the rock and roll church this morning. The congregation are really nice there. Now I'm gonna lay on the couch for a while I guess.

I've spent a lot of time in my recliner, today. DW just asked me to light the gas logs, and it was easier to do this time than the last few. I even still have eyebrows, despite a minor flare-up. Stupid pilot light.

You are a machine! High Five I haven't caught up on the rest of the posts. Did the guy come for your speakers? That's one thing I very much dislike about CL. People don't show all of the time, but it's still one of the best ways to get rid of something.

I miss good music in church. Catholic mass music sucks. I think God is just sitting there face palming and thinking, "THIS? You think THIS honors me? You're destroying everything called singing!" Facepalm

This.

Quote :
"Join, or Die" is a well-known political cartoon, created by Benjamin Franklin and first published in his Pennsylvania Gazette on May 9, 1754.[1] The original publication by the Gazette is the earliest known pictorial representation of colonial union produced by a British colonist in America.[2] It is a woodcut showing a snake severed into eighths, with each segment labeled with the initials of a British American colony or region. New England was represented as one segment, rather than the four colonies it was at that time. In addition, Delaware and Georgia were omitted completely. Thus, it has 8 segments of snake rather than the traditional 13 colonies.[3] The cartoon appeared along with Franklin's editorial about the "disunited state" of the colonies, and helped make his point about the importance of colonial unity. During that era, there was a superstition that a snake which had been cut into pieces would come back to life if the pieces were put together before sunset.
Basically saying that if the colonies didn't join and unite as one fighting force we would always be under the rule of tyrannical gov't.

This place was cool. Older teens played in the band- it was like a Christian rock video- kind of corny but I don't care - it felt good. I woke up sad and crying, and I remembered i had met this pastor before and he invited me up to worship sometime. Beat laying on the couch crying. Plus they gave me a free soy latte drool

Just one other one on my right shoulder. It's kind of a lame, tribal, bird of prey. You can see part of it in my grits thread i think in the pic of me with my shirt off. I've been wanting another one for a long long time, and I think I've settled on that one. It's so country redneck that I love it!
