Hi thread.

I don't have diabetes and all the testing came back fine except I have a fatty liver. I don't do drugs or drink a lot so the doctor referred me to a GI doctor to make sure everything is okay.

I have mild PCOS but he wants me to go to the GI doctor before he puts me on meds.

Also, I have to lose weight!
Yeaaaa for not having diabetes! I'm sure you can get yourself healthy! Maybe while talking to your GI doctor ask him to recommend a dietician to you to help with a diet plan that's easily integrated into your whole family's meal plans.

I just started working out again so maybe try that or doing more walking (family walks are great, esp. to the park)...

IDK...am I talking too much?

Congrats on not having diabetes. A co-worker of mine was just diagnosed with it last week.

I wonder if you'll get a biopsy.

It runs in my family so I was really relieved.

OMG OMG OMG

I am so excited! I saw some tutorials to make cute tutu dresses and headbands for the girls' butterfly costumes!

They are going to look adorable!

A local tech company went out of business. Auction of assets is today, I'm bidding on a couple Lenovo X61 tablet PCs (they're convertibles). Figure I'll give one to each kid if I get a deal.

I was going to do one for liquid nitrogen ice cream, but the guy who was picking up the liquid nitrogen for me, instead of using my dewars, had them fill a large banged-up metal container that leaked. (Something like an old-fashioned milk urn.) True, it *was* bigger. But it was also empty by the time he got it here, which pretty much defeats the purpose.
Doh laugh out loud

But if you just ignore me, it's a pretty good video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SU8iRYbnAb0 (That's Mark doing the voiceover on this one.)

I still have the knots of the napkins. (Yes, that's are all that was left at the end.)
i liked the walk-on torcher....your neighbors must heart you laugh out loud

I love activities and such that involve the family because it helps get everyone into good habits...so you're doing good things for you as well as training your kids to do good things for themselves when they're on their own!

I'd be able to get some better deals if the auction were structured differently Annoyed
Example, Dell Optiplex 755 for $30... except I have to get the whole lot of 8 for $30 each (and I'm too lazy to re-sell). That and the fact that the minimum increment is $10. So 9 Dell 19" LCDs are currently $5 each, but if I want to bid, the lowest I can go is $15 each. Some guy came in and took up the first bid on basically everything (well, except the Cisco networking stuff and some of the rack servers).

They better be cheap and under $50 each, those things are outdated...

I know some of you guys are photographers.

I own a Canon Rebel XSi. I've gotten more into photographing my little ones. What is a begginer lense that is affordable that can do the blurred background?

Looks like there are some Dell Poweredges (mostly 1850) that no one has bid on yet at $50 each (no lots on these). They're awful sparse with the specs, but looks like they're mostly dual processor, 4GB, 2x146GB drives.

What's wrong with the stock 18-55? Sry, misread your question... You have with Photoshop?

One with a bigger focal length. What lens do you have now? The stock 18-55mm or whatever kit lens it came with?
