One with a bigger focal length. What lens do you have now? The stock 18-55mm or whatever kit lens it came with?
Yes the stock 18-55 mm

I know diddly squat about lenses/photography. I just need some advice. Can you point me to a decent, affordable lense?

Can't you just go manual and use a wider F-stop for less depth-of-field? I don't have a DSLR, so I don't know these things. I'm an old-school Twin Lens Reflex (TLR) kinda guy...

Pretty much. The longer focal length just makes it easier.

We used to manually set the exposure to three different settings at the same F-stop, or "bracketing" as it was called back then.

I don't quite remember but I recall there was a couple or something that got married by meeting on SD? Do you guys recall that? I remember reading a new article about that...
There's several couples I know that met here and at least set a wedding date..not sure they went through with it or not, but pretty sure they did.

Iagree
I'd suggest learning the techniques before shelling out on a new lens. Use the lowest F-stop you have (going to guess F1.something), and be reasonably close to your subject, with the background being further away. Of course, in full manual mode, you'll need to tinker with your exposure time, but that's the beauty of a digital, you can just keep shooting until you get it right. If it's bright outside, 800 is a decent starting point, and go up or down based on how over/underexposed the result is.

lol.. that's so true.
Not making fun of Asians, but Hondas are very popular.
One Indian guy explained it to me.
Over in India, most things are like 1/10 of the price they are in the USA, except gas (Maybe he was exaggerating, but point taken).
So there's a huge emphasis on MPG.. he said it's the overwhelming factor, and that's why so many Indians drive cars like that.
Nothing wrong with it.. I just wondered why it's seldom to see one drive an American or Euro car and asked.. that was his take.

I have not seen the playboy channel in a long time.
But apparently it's a lot more hardcore now.
Back in the 80's, it was ok for cable companies to put Playboy on their list, because it was basically just R rated.. but then all these groups thought it was immoral and pushed it off a lot of providers.. So PB was kind of forced to go more hardcore (I was told).. My friend said he tuned in on a weekend night and saw PITB..

I dunno, I kind of like some soft porn like playboy every once in awhile.. nice change of pace.

Hi thread.

I don't have diabetes and all the testing came back fine except I have a fatty liver. I don't do drugs or drink a lot so the doctor referred me to a GI doctor to make sure everything is okay.

I have mild PCOS but he wants me to go to the GI doctor before he puts me on meds.

Also, I have to lose weight!
Glad you don't have diabetes.. Hope everything else works out and it is not something severe.
Good luck hug

Mine too! But I never blow dry my hair...I'm too lazy!
Honestly, I like toweled dry/aired dried hair better on women.. More sexy looking.. Although I like the wild kind of look.

Although, I was just thinking of this a few weeks ago. I like that look, but not on my daughter. LMAO She wanted to let her bangs grow really long.. I let her, they got down to her collar bone.. She started looking too 90's grunge, so I talked her into letting me trim and layer them out for her..(now they are about cheekbone length, and layered, so not as thick).. She looks more innocent now. lol.. She liked the new look, but I think she wants to grow them back out ...
