OK, So I have 5 shirts to give out...and here's how you can win one. Whee


I like fun (and/or weird) facts ( and I need entertaining) so go find some interesting and hopefully weird facts to post in this thread.

I will choose 5 (plus a few more for backups) numbers before I post this thread....then I will look through the thread and see if a fun fact falls on the number...if it's just chatter in that post and no fun fact then I will choose another. Only one shirt per person so if the winning number falls on your post twice...I will choose another.

Reposts won't count so if someone does a repost be sure to call it out laugh out loud Stick Out Tongue But don't all go crazy calling them out since that doesn't help you win a shirt.

Try not to clutter up the thread too much with chatter because I really want to read some interesting things today.

This might end later today or maybe tomorrow... or maybe the end of the week.

Most hydrangeas are white but certain species can turn pink or blue depending on whether the soil is alkaline or acidic. Never can remember though, which is which.

Actually where we live, you can turn a hydrangea bush into both blue and pink, by adjusting the soil on both sides of the bush. I've seen it done, and one side will bloom blue and the other pink. Pink to blue, add aluminum to the soil. Easier to change from pink to blue, than from blue to pink, as you have to take the aluminum out of the soil to change it back.

Yeah we had one that was half and half in Texas. The previous owners had planted it.


Weird fact to keep this on topic:
Northern Flickers are woodpeckers however they are the only woodpecker that feeds on the ground. They like to probe the ground with their long beaks looking for insects and will also eat berries, nuts, seeds as well as the suet from my feeder. laugh out loud
