The contest is "gumballs for life" and we will provide the equivalent of one gumball per day for average American's expected life-span. If the winner happens to be much older than 18, the minimum age to participate, then we will over-deliver on our promise to you big time.

According to the CDC, the average life expectancy for a US citizen (click for details) is 78.5 years. To be eligible to enter the contest you must be 18 years old. Thus 78.5 - 18 = 60.5 years remaining for an average American (we understand your are not average). Next, remaining life was multiplied by the number of days in a year to determine the total number of gumballs required... so 60.5 X 365 = 22,082.5 gumballs. We cant very well provide half gumball, so we rounded up and then some. The world famous Dubble Bubble makes an assorted 0.5" diameter gumball sold in bulk, 8500 pieces per case. Thus, we divided 22082.5 / 8500 = 2.6 cases needed. Instead of sifting through and counting the exact number of gumballs, we decided to round up a provide the winner 3 full cases of Dubble Bubble 8500 ct. gumballs (this is equivalent to life expectancy of 87.9 years. We hope the winner makes it to that point and much more. Good luck.

Very funny, but the life-span of a gumball is only a couple years, tops. These will be stale long before any normal person can use them.
