Thread Details
Heads up, the Biggest Night of the Year Contest begins September 17th and continues through November 11th. This one isn't as great as some of the previous contests, but at least there is a very tiny gap between this and the prior contest. Heres the info:
- Contest period will begin September 17, 2012 and end November 11, 2012
- Offers eligible smokers, 21+ who are registered at www.marlboro.co m or www.marlboro.co m/mobile the opportunity to enter for a chance to win prizes and more
- Eligible smokers 21+ can enter weekly contest for an opportunity to win a trip to Las Vegas to experience a side of Las Vegas few have ever seen. The contest will award twenty-one eligible smokers 21+ and their guest 21+ the trip.
As additional info becomes available, it will be posted in the wiki, but it seems pretty clear as to what this contest is about. Good Luck!

I didnt answer it. When I called back it said it was for some company doing research survey for Phillip Morris.
Celebrating the last day on Earth. haha...12/21/2012 the day the world is to end.
I have noticed a change in the type of contest promotions and also prizes that Marlboro is offering. It seems to me to have moved from being male/Western/Out-doors/Cowboy/country oriented to being rather self-centered East Coast major metropolitan area yuppieish youth oriented. Almost as if Carrie Bradshaw was in charge. Have many of you picked up on this?
A lady I know who is the area manager of a chain of gasoline/convenience stores has told me that they recently did a survey at selected stores in her region. They offered a free pack of cigarettes to every customer, male and female, for a specific period of time (30 minutes). No previous advertising or warning, simply telling each customer at the register they had just been selected to receive a free pack of cigs if they were a smoker, what brand and size/flavor do you want? That most of the men, across all age groups, chose a Marlboro brand, followed by Camel and then Pall Mall. That most of the young women chose Marlboro Menthol, followed by Camel menthol, then Virginia slims.. They noted middle aged women seldom chose Marlboro or Camel and that the apparently mature woman chose differently from the younger, and the mature ladies chose Pall Mall, Capri, Benson & Hedges, Virginia Slims, Eve, and none in the older ladies group chose Marlboro or Camel.
I have been told that Altera Group has a new advertising and promotions company. Could this be the cause of the change in the Marlboro gifts and contests? Can anyone confirm this?
Do any of you think the actual answer we give on the daily contest will make a difference in the winning of a weekly prize?

Like a G6 -- Far East Movement
Pound the Alarm -- Nicki Minaj
Till the World Ends -- Britney Spears
Get Busy -- Sean Paul
For anyone struggling, these are some popular bands/artists known for creating house/club music or having songs turned into house music: David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, 3OH!3, D-Devils, Basshunter, Calvin Harris, etc.
Frequently played in clubs besides the aforementioned house music (old and new songs alike): Rihanna, Sean Paul, T-Pain, Taio Cruz, Timbaland, Usher, The Wanted, Akon, Beyonce, Britney Spears, Shakira, Cascada, Kanye West, Chris Brown, Eminem, Flo Rida, Jennifer Lopez, Havana Brown, Justin Bieber, Jay-Z, Jay Sean, Lady Gaga, Kevin Rudolf, Maroon 5, Nicki Minaj, etc. HTH!
If anyone needs help, I can try to help...I club every so often (a few months ago it was weekly) and have a good idea of what gets a dance floor going.
