Dog chew toys that don't get them in trouble: Add your dog's favorites! (Thanks, daisee)

1. Fun stuff
- We leave empty cardboard boxes for the dogs to chew up. Also these loofah bones (cleans their teeth while they rip them apart) and TONS of cat toys (with catnip). (from veritableqndry)

2. Hard-to-destroy stuff

-At dollar tree they carry "milkbone" toys... she beats the hell out of them and still they hold up. (not to mention their only a buck if they destroy them) (from wakethewicked2)

- I've had good luck with these -- the avatar dog has destroyed everything but this kind. They come in different sizes and shapes and you can put treats inside for them to dig out: http://www.petmountain.com/produc...-kong.html . I get mine at a local farm store, but I'm sure you could get them at places like Pets Mart if you don't want to buy online. (from callpocket)

- Here are a couple that have survived Sophie so far:
  • Busy Buddy bouncy bone - We gave up on the rawhide inserts. She rips those out in seconds but likes the toy without them anyhow and cannot kill it.)
  • Everlasting treat ball -Again she pulls out the expensive inserts right off the bat...but she likes bouncing the toy. You can also hide dog kibble in the middle for the dog to try to get out, which entertains him for awhile. She hasn't managed to rip this one at all yet even though it feels soft and flexible.
  • Jolly Ball: - Ours is bigger than the one at this link. It's hysterical to see her stick her snout in the hole and wave the ball in the air. It's bigger than her head. She runs around the house with it on her snout, growling and acting like a maniac. I don't know why she can't chew it up, but she can't.
  • Then there are big Nylabones, which she can kill eventually. But they take a long time to die. (from olu)

Well my 15 week old puppy has not chewed up anything major yet.
He sounds like a cutie, green goatee and all.
15 weeks...give it time and he'll get something good in another couple of months look around

What my dog ate today: a couple of envelopes of junk mail. This I am ok with. Sort of like having a living paper shredder in the house.

Nephews came over this morning to play with Gus...

They were taking a break and eating popsicles... The Two year old had his in his hand, when he was distracted and was pointing up at a low flying plane.. Gus came from behind.. took the popsicle and casually walked away...

What my dog ate today: A bag of homemade dog biscuits at our neighbors' house. She grabbed them and sneaked out to the backyard, where she ate all but one. Sneaky girl.

Oh she is sneaky Coverlaugh

Someone asked us to tow a trailer for them tomorrow. Oh sorry, can't. Bear chewed the trailers wires off the truck when he was a puppy & we never fixed them.
I never knew how happy I would be that he did that. laugh out loud

He has a thing for those, and those bath puff things.Mad A bar of soap once in awhile, and lots of bugs.Big Grin This morning after I fed him, he felt he had been jipped, so found him in the pantry eating outta the storage bin where his food is kept-the door closes so he uses his nose to push it open. Dang dog, no wonder he is always outta food!

What hasn't he eaten? We're still paying off the $600 vet bill for the slab of chocolate slice. You've never seen a dog like ours. It's now official. He's Licorice, Australia's Naughtiest Dog [com.au].

Gus mastered opening the screen door at our house... and apparantly, it works at the neighbor's house... She found him in her kitchen, eating her dog's food....
