Dog chew toys that don't get them in trouble: Add your dog's favorites! (Thanks, daisee)

1. Fun stuff
- We leave empty cardboard boxes for the dogs to chew up. Also these loofah bones (cleans their teeth while they rip them apart) and TONS of cat toys (with catnip). (from veritableqndry)

2. Hard-to-destroy stuff

-At dollar tree they carry "milkbone" toys... she beats the hell out of them and still they hold up. (not to mention their only a buck if they destroy them) (from wakethewicked2)

- I've had good luck with these -- the avatar dog has destroyed everything but this kind. They come in different sizes and shapes and you can put treats inside for them to dig out: http://www.petmountain.com/produc...-kong.html . I get mine at a local farm store, but I'm sure you could get them at places like Pets Mart if you don't want to buy online. (from callpocket)

- Here are a couple that have survived Sophie so far:
  • Busy Buddy bouncy bone - We gave up on the rawhide inserts. She rips those out in seconds but likes the toy without them anyhow and cannot kill it.)
  • Everlasting treat ball -Again she pulls out the expensive inserts right off the bat...but she likes bouncing the toy. You can also hide dog kibble in the middle for the dog to try to get out, which entertains him for awhile. She hasn't managed to rip this one at all yet even though it feels soft and flexible.
  • Jolly Ball: - Ours is bigger than the one at this link. It's hysterical to see her stick her snout in the hole and wave the ball in the air. It's bigger than her head. She runs around the house with it on her snout, growling and acting like a maniac. I don't know why she can't chew it up, but she can't.
  • Then there are big Nylabones, which she can kill eventually. But they take a long time to die. (from olu)

Sister brought over Burgers...
Gus and the nephew were really quiet... and both behaving.. I should have known...

Gus got up and went in the yard and vomit
All French fries... about the amount you would find in a kids meal.
So I ask the nephew and he said "I feed Gus UnkA"

My sister and nephew were both fine with it.. till he started eating it...

This was not in the manual...

Kulani isn't eating anything in the non-food category lately. But I can tell you that she can't keep BWW's down. Guess "hot" isn't so hot if you're a dog.

So today Sophie broke into the family room. We gate it off when we're gone. She managed to somehow get in, eat a cactus, an art book and a homework assignment, and get back out before we got home. When we got here, she was running around in the "OK" part of the house, looking like she knew nothing about the cactus and book carcasses on the other side of the gate.

Bad dog.

ROFLMAO I just found this thread and LOVE it. Makes me feel a little better about my own bad dog. By the way, skipadedodah, my dog Davey has eaten an inedible Kong frisbee.

Today he ate a tennis ball, cat poo and a spider.
Yesterday he had dog poo at the dog park, someone's parking ticket he found on the sidewalk and a piece of junk mail.

Oh no he eats p l e n t y of other food. He gets lots of exercise or he would be so fat he would be housebound and have Richard Simmons crying at his bedside. He is all of 30 lbs.

today-
a squeaker
the inside of this toy- http://vipproducts.com/retail/fil...ucts_id=87
a bottle cap, which I recovered before he swallowed it
an earplug
