Promotion starts at 12:00:00 AM Eastern Time ("ET") on October 2, 2012 and closes at 11:59:59 PM ET on December 15, 2012.
Open to legal residents of the forty-eight (48) United States and the District of Columbia (excluding New Jersey, Virginia AND Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and other U.S. territories and possessions) who are eighteen (18) years of age at time of entry and posses a valid U.S. driver's license.
HOW TO REGISTER AND ENTER THE PROMOTION: During the Promotion Period, visit www.shell.us/fuelpromo, click on the "Enter Now" button and enter a valid email address to be directed to registration form. Complete the Registration Form including your First Name, Last Name, Email Address and Zip Code.
Upon Registration, you will have the opportunity to enter the Promotion to receive one (1) Daily Entry.
There are two (2) ways to enter the Promotion after registration with or without purchase.
i. With Purchase: Select the tick box if you have a Shell fuel receipt to enter. Next, enter the requested Shell fuel purchase receipt information dated between October 2, 2012 and December 15, 2012. Upon doing so, click the "Enter Now" button to receive one (1) Daily Entry into the Promotion per person, per Day.
ii. Without Purchase: Click on the "No Purchase Necessary Entry Form" button and complete the No Purchase Necessary Entry Form. Upon doing so, print and mail the completed form in an outer stamped mailing envelope with sufficient postage affixed to: Shell Free Fuel for a Year, 555 N Woodlawn, Ste 300, Wichita, KS 67208 to receive one (1) Daily Entry into the Promotion per person, per Day.
Limit of one (1) Registration Entry per person for the entire Promotion Period; and limit one (1) Daily Entry per person, per Day during the Promotion Period (regardless of method of entry as defined above) for a maximum total of seventy-six (76) Entries into the Promotion.
One (1) Grand Prize available to be won, consisting of Free Shell Gasoline for One (1) year for the Grand Prize winner and five (5) friends. Approximate retail value of Free Shell Gasoline for one (1) person for one (1) year is $2,401.53 (USD). The total approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $14,409.21 (USD).
The Grand Prize is calculated on the average consumer's yearly gasoline consumption of six hundred and thirty-six (636) gallons (4.5 fuel purchases per month multiply by 11.77 gallons of gasoline per purchase multiply by twelve (12) months) per year and at the present-day $3.776 (US) per gallon (consistent with the U.S Department of Energy statistics for regular grade gasoline as of September 4, 2012). Fluctuations in gasoline prices after September 4, 2012 will not affect the calculation of the Grand Prize amount. The Grand Prize will be rounded up to the next fifty and be awarded in the form of forty-nine (49) $50.00 (US) Shell Gift Cards which may be used for the purchase of gasoline.
