Due to my recent experience with Freedompop, I am
NO LONGER RECOMMENDING this company.
The company started off with potential but after many sleazy experiences I can definitively say that they are acting in bad faith and not to be trusted.
Please do your own due diligence but my
$0.02 is certainly,
STAY AWAY! DO NOT TRY.
P.S.- Early adopters who deposited should probably contact them about a refund. They screwed us.

I read it and I noticed there is no explanation. It sounds like you had a bad experience, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is a bad company.
If you could explain why?

But Freedompop quietly changed the terms mid-2015 that only allow refunds within a year of activation.
This immediately voids all deposit refunds mid-2014 and before.
It is pretty clear how unfair and bad faith this added policy is if you consider the amount of deposit vs the device value and how the change was made purposely without notifications first.
Also, it is conveniently before Nov 2015 when these older devices would become obsolete and unusable. Really this was probably the main reason as to why this policy was added in.
By speaking with Freedompop representatives, I got the sense that both party knew they were screwing us over but that was the policy they are adamantly going to stand by.
Obviously these actions show that Freedompop value money over loyal customers, and for that I caution all fellow SDers.
(TL DR: Freedompop intentionally screws over early customers by secretly editing terms)
Thank you!
