I am tired of all of these bandwagon PBS fans.

All I see is a bunch of retards pretending to be PBS viewers because Mitt Romney doesn't like PBS and wants to get rid of the CPB.

Seriously, fark the whole lot of them. I hope they all die choking on ham sandwiches.

I hate the all of the people who are part of the new PBS is cool, and I am also cool because I watch PBS trend. The old viewers, the ones who are loyal viewers are the ones that I have real respect for.

These people, the new fans are no different than the people who didn't care for/hated America before 9/11 and suddenly became neocons right after the towers were brought down.

And just so you know, I watch the newshour ever night, and most of the their primetime programs. I've got much love for my local PBS and NPR stations even though they have tried to censor programming and love to pimp the catholic church on their channels.

(and yes, I know he doesn't think it'll balance the budget entirely, but really - 6 hours of defense is all it takes to make up for PBS - why not just cut out 6 hours of the defense budget and leave PBS alone)

The question everyone should be asking is, why does Mitt want to give the military 2 trillion dollars that they haven't asked for? That scares the bejesus out of me. cough*Iran*cough

Let's face it. There will have to be cuts made that will offend somebody. The problem with politicians these days is that they care less about fixing problems than about their public image. I have long been a fan of PBS, but like so many other things that aren't primary to the infrastructure, or defense of our freedom and citizens, it should be open to cuts that will refocus the attention of our government on what it's main roles are.

Until we can get back on the road to financial stability, we need to make some deep cuts. The size of our government is out of control and gets bigger each day. Our kids can't read, we import our food from around the world and yet pay our farmers to not grow crops, and we keep bailing out companies instead of letting them take responsibility for their own actions. When will enough be enough?
I'm all for cutting back on unnecessary gov. spending....as with everyone out there. But, I think to use PBS as an example, Romney goofed. There are far better expenditures out there that could be cut. Instead, Romney (and every Republican presidential candidate in the past) just wants to cut taxes to the rich while cutting spending on things they deemed unnecessary. Unfortunately, what they deem unnecessary is often judged through their own eyes which are seen through multi-millionaire "spectacles".Big Grin

As far as bailing out U.S. companies, I think we had no choice. It was either bailing them out or letting them fail and worsening the economy and financial state of the country.

With regards to our kids not being able to read, you can blame that on the parents and all the cuts to the school budgets. But primarily, you HAVE to blame the parents. I have kids and my son starting reading at 3 yrs of age. That's because I sat with him every night and went over the basics. And, I worked 6 days a week and got home close to 7 pm every night. So, you can't say that work prevented me from being a good parent!

To be fair, there are probably more people that think you're a schmuck, so it's all relative.

Iagree Iran should scare the bejesus out of all of us. We need to send the apologizer in chief back home to play basketball and golf and let a real president handle the big problems.

Goofed? He has the President of the United States and his entire campaign focused on saving Big Bird. laugh out loud I think this was completely intentional and has more to do with strategy than it does with cutting funding for PBS.

First he makes Obama look like a complete idiot in the debate with the entire world watching and he makes Obama follow that up with a full-blown effort to support a cartoon character instead of dealing with all of the big problems we have in and out of this country right now. It doesn't get any better than that. Rofl2

Unfortunately Netanyahu has prior commitments.

Watching that speech he made recently was a great reminder of what a true leader looks like, especially compared to Obama. Romney isn't exactly a Netanyahu but he is at least a couple of steps closer in the right direction.

About a month before the election, do you really want to incite controversy and encourage more ppl to hit the voting booth in fear that you're going to do something you said you would do if you were President?

As far as making Obama look like an idiot, how is that? Sure, Obama didn't do well in the first debate. But, I think it was more of an issue of Obama not wanting to be too combative. Wanted to play "nice". I think that ploy backfired. As far as not wanting to deal with the real issues, how has Romney approached those issues? Trumpeting on about how he can do a better job but not really saying how is just that.......a lot of hot air.

Note, I don't even know who I'm going to vote for. I'm neither an Obama fan nor a Romney fan. But, even I have to say that with all the disdain towards Obama, I don't think Romney is any better of a candidate.

well when Netty have the balls to go actually do the fighting then we can talk, otherwise he should stop dragging the world into his fear mongering..

Without any US support Israel will fall if they even try to start a war
