look at me and all these men Whee

ooohhh VF my mom's been under the weather so I got a chicken to roast for her tomorrow

They were on sale for .99/lb so I thought that's good, and I can make chicken soup then. Well that was $5 and guess what, the already roasted chicken was $5 too. So I was kinda Annoyed Because I could have bought one already cooked for the same amount as the raw one. But then I can cook this to my specs. What's your thoughts on the roasted in the store vs roasted on your own dilemma? I dont even eat it of course, but I still care laugh out loud
They are the same price, but I always found already roasted chicken to be usually overcooked/too soft. So making soup out of it is harder. For $0.99 a lb. you are talking about the whole chicken right? They go on sale for $0.69 a lb. on occasion here.

I use a knife to cut the apple into slices. It used to make me giggle inside when a co-worker would comment about my apple eating when they were mowing down fast food.

Well, with the roasted in store variety, you save TONS of time and electricity/gas, and therefore expenses two ways. I think most stores do a good job roasting, especially if it's rotisserie style. nod

If you're planning on making soup, I prefer a raw chicken, cut-up, and boiled with carrots, celery, onions, and bay leaves. That way, you have a nutritious broth with which to make soup. With the store-roasted bird, you've only got a carcass. Frown Unless you buy broth/stock, which is another expense.

It just died, I dont really know. I didnt spill coffee on it or anything. It's old and I'm not spending any $ to fix it. I didnt lose any important files or anything. I had a little mini I bought to surf too and that died also. I never had luck with Dell stuff Annoyed

well the chicken is dead but it has all its bones in the wrapping. No head or feathers. With you I'm scared to think you may be referring to a live chicken or something laugh out loud

She'll be better soon Im sure Thanks

I prefer to make my own stock/broth

I used to bake a chicken, take some for LW, reserve some nice chunks, then boil the carcass with herbs/veggies to make the broth. Then I'd drain the broth and add the veggies/seasonings and simmer, then add the chicken I reserved later so it didnt get gummy. And always dill nod

Yeah, dill is an either/or kinda thing with me. I love it in lima beans and seafood salads. With boiled chicken, it does add a piquant taste, but you have to be careful not to overdo it.

Yeah, fark Dell laptops, I'm never buying another one. The sound on my newest one has been acting funny off and on for the last couple months, and it looks like it may have finally died last night. Was trying to watch a YouTube video, and the sound just crackled, and there was a huge delay when I tried muting/unmuting it. After rebooting, it seemed like it was fine, but then I tried to watch another one a little later, and the same thing happened. Tried to get some new drivers and stuff, and eventually Windows told me there was no audio device at all. Went into the BIOS level checks, and the problem exists there too. There's a whole range of different problems people have with the audio on the XPS 17 (L702X) model. Between this, the issues with the screen on my older Inspiron 9300, and the C610 I have being basically crap, they're going on my "do not buy or recommend" list.

The first laptop I bought was a dell Inspiron- I dont remember what #- it was maybe 2004 or 2005? It was freaking expensive- I do remember that. And that one didnt last as long as I had wished either-- and contrary to popular belief, I wasnt downloading weird ass porn all the time or anything from dubious sites Nono I was barely ever home to use it.

Screw you and your hotness, Michael Dell! Ranting

Yup, I can support that position. I've had excellent quality from Acer products over the last several years, despite what anyone else says bad about Acer. They just work, and they're easily upgraded and maintained.
